my full point is not exactly what i stated, which is that caring about the method of completion for any challenge tracked by vanilla is pointless and not even worth judging somebody for because that is solely within the bounds of the singleplayer experience. however, once you start doing something tracked out-of-game you start necessarily competing with other people, which is where fairness and equality in challenges starts mattering. inherently this also means that challenges completed for self-satisfaction with no involvement of others are also not worth bitching about even internally, but that just makes sense. judge the legitimacy of others once they start something to compare to another person or face the same achievement.
