am not fully sure, but here is my theory -
I think the Fragile Flower might be made of "Soul-rich" pale living matter - just pure life. This could explain why it reacts so badly to certain forces in Hallownest.
Dream Gates do not move the physical body in a normal way. Instead, they create a "lucid" dream-formed version of the one who uses it, and transfer that form to the marked point. The body is shaped by dream and will, then pulled back into reality.
When going through a Dream Gate, anything carried is also forced into this dream-state.
The Knight survives because it is hollow and tied to Void. Void does not resist dream shaping. The Fragile Flower, being alive and Soul-aligned, tries to stay fully real.
Because of this, dream cannot properly carry it.
So the flower does not simply break - it fails to reform on the other side.
Again, this is only a theory, not fact - but it fits with how dream, Soul, and living things clash in the lore.
