I had hollow knight on my switch at first and tried pantheon 5 alot but never beat it. I got it on my pc awhile later and learned keyboard and mouse controls, and I just did all the pantheon stuff (I didn't even have the requirements for p1). I figured I'd attempt pantheon 5 once in hopes of unlocking the absolute radiance fight to practice it, and I ended up beating it first try. I have NEVER attempted absolute radiance with kbm controls, that was my first time getting to the fight

For the pufferfish pattern, it has 12 fireball waves and every 4th wave the fireball is at the bottom and middle. Keep that in mind while counting so it makes it a little more easier to dodge those

Vessels are not born from a single source, but from the convergence of three forces: Void, Roots, and Pale Royalty.
First is Void given form. Void alone is inert - endless, instinctless, and directionless. Across both games, Void only becomes effective when it is shaped. The term "form" is repeatedly associated not with physical shape, but with purpose or will. Kingsmoulds are the clearest proof: they were given a singular form - to serve and protect. When the White Palace fell, that purpose fractured. The Collector, once a Kingsmould, did not lose its form - it twisted it, continuing to "protect" in a distorted, obsessive way. This implies that Void retains purpose even when corrupted.
Second are the Roots, born from the White Lady’s seeds. These act as cloaks or bindings - organic restraints that allow Void to exist in the physical world without immediately unraveling. Roots anchor the Vessel, limiting Void’s tendency to spread, leak, or return to the Abyss.
Third is Pale Royalty, the gift of Soul, often described as the heat or spark of life. Soul allows growth, action, and consciousness. Without it, Void constructs remain static servants rather than living beings.
This leads to Masks.
Masks are often said to grant personality. However, the Mask Maker is careful with wording - he claims this as belief, not absolute truth. This distinction matters. Masks may not create personality, but instead define and stabilize it. They provide Void with a boundary, a face through which purpose can be interpreted.
Thus, masks do not add personality to Void - they translate purpose into identity.

Every Vessel shows signs of individuality: hesitation, aggression, curiosity, compassion. This alone disproves the idea of a truly pure Vessel existing within Hallownest’s reality. Purity is an ideal, not an achievable state.
In this framework, masks are not cosmetic—they are essential regulators. They tame Void, preventing it from reverting to chaos or leaking outward. Without a mask, Void either dissolves into instinct or becomes something monstrous.
In Hallownest, Void without form is failure.
Void with form—but without restraint—is disaster.
Only when Void is shaped, rooted, and masked does a Vessel endure.
And even then—never perfectly.
