Ye, the issue with just grinding p5 attempts is that it's harder to learn proper techniques for later bosses.
If it takes a few attempts to get to the later bosses then it's likely some of the stuff that was learned on previous attempts might've been lost.

Solidifying strats in HoG makes it easier to retain best practices for the later bosses
