Sharp Shadow is first and foremost a positioning charm, not a damage charm. It's usefulness comes from being able to close longer distances quicker and to move yourself further with invulnerability, the damage is just a slight bonus.
The issue is most vanilla, and been modded bosses don't demand this, it's good if you're speedrunning, and with some thick bosses like champion, oro and mato or watcher Knights, making dashing through easier. But even then it's not the best pick

Steady body is the most powerful positioning tool out there. The lack of Knockback allows further control of the character while dealing damage, which is incredibly valuable for setups, which is why it's used in very strategic niches like Flukenest.
Besides this, it allows to have a steady position with respect to a boss, meaning if the boss moves, be it because of itself or because of you, you're ready to pursuit.
Even if it doesn't, the lack of waviness allows you to squeeze in tighter spots while still being aggressive.

All in all it allows for a hyper agressive playstyle together with Quickslash, without putting yourself at unnecessary risks. That's why it's used in basically every major challenge with charms. Hitless P5, nail 0 white spells challenges, all 3 Any Radiances and every single other modded boss. Pantheon speedruns, boss speedkills, and basically everything you want
