the main benefit of fireballs is resetting your fall speed, the knockback is secondary

at the apex you only benefit from the knockback, you want to reset the fall speed while you are going downwards to cover more distance as well

RAM: 8.00 GB
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64 processor.

The result was unexpected for
such a video card, somewhere around 46 in unloaded scenes, and 35 in loaded scenes. Downloading saves - 15 seconds. It was more difficult with bosses like the King of Nightmare, Radiance and pantheons. It was 29 fps but not lower. The result is quite good for a 32 MB video card.
But there are problems: when the screen recording program is running, the game slows down and sometimes lags a lot. And the conclusion is that you can play on such PC, but not speedrun/stream/blogging

Can someone test something for me? I was playing on the PC disc version of HK last year and I think I found a glitch. I haven't heard of this glitch and I still need to test to see if I miscounted. Basically I was trying to get my money back from the banker by pogoing on them using quick slash. When I was done I thought I counted more money than should be given. I have no idea if it's in the steam version or not and I have no idea if this is a dupe glitch or not. If someone could answer this that would be awesome.

I found a glich where I jumped at interacted with the thing at the start of Path of Pain and I could move around but my character still looked like it was reading it and I decided I would try to fall in the spikes and the animation was back to normal but I decided to go back to the bench without jumping (because I was afraid of it going away) and I sat down and my mask and soul meter was back. I did dream nail because I don't know why and the text disappeared but the text box remained

Make sure you're using quick cast not focus, although I'd be surprised if you were getting it at all with focus.
Other than that it's just timing things: jumping late, fireballing right after turning around so you're spending as much time as possible going left, and turning around at the right time.

You probably pressed the spell button by accident after unpausing and the Shade Soul got cancelled by the DDark animation, so you had Shade Soul storage, which pushes you back when inventory is open

Keyboard has a couple advantages over controller but nothing major. If controller is what you're comfortable with then that's fine, there's top runners that prefer controller

Controller is more fluid and keyboard allows you for more precise and rigid movement but it's often harder to master. Most speedrunners use keyboard but it's up to your preference

not related to any categories but here today i just get white fragment from pale king first at the fastest time i can get, i had a lot of fun trying to plan during the run on where do i go next for optimal routes. I love speedrunning and i guess its fun going for these kinds of runs where your objective is to get a certain items or defeat a boss with the minimal time possible, its different from normal runs where you already known the routes for it and just practice till you get better time, but this? well it requires both skills and certain amount of thinking

It also makes it so that releasing one after holding both will make you move in the direction of the still held button. Generally for any category, a time you're personally happy with. PoP is very highly optimized, I think the WR time is lower than the TAS used to be, so don't compare yourself too harshly to top times
