It's a regret because it was all for nothing
literally called wyrms great shame
Where?
which he feels shame for
What if the void isn't leaking inside
But leaking outside
From the pale king itself
We don't see void stains on him though
Maybe he shaded so much by his sorrow that the void inside him exploded out of his eyeholes and he died or smth
Mask Maker calls it the "Wyrms great shame", he himself describes the abyss as "refuse and regret", and his emotional feelings regarding THK are emphasized in Path of Pain
Maybe a rogue kingsmould was possessed by the greater will of the void after that one idiot turned of the lighthouse
How did that kill the Kingsmoulds that are MADE of void? Perhaps the void somehow leaked out of their shells, but the Pale King himself doesn't appear to be corrupted by void, and all of the other Kingsmoulds are in fine condition
And killed everyone
Mask Maker: "Has it witnessed that truth most tragic? The Wyrm's great shame sealed away."
fuck thst took forever to find
In that case, if suicide is possible, it's plausible
fuck yoi star go away
errr mods?
Though I feel his shame would be more to do with failing his kingdom rather than for his children. After sacrificing that many, why feel shame so late?
wym "so late"
He felt shame during the act
it was always a last resort, he never wanted to
Maybe from the moment the plan was conceived
I'm sure the death of his kingdom was also sad though yeah
Not to mention deliviring millions of pale babies to the void
The tablet and such outlining his shame appear to have come after failing to seal away the light properly, no?
seems like it can live on its own
So he's already gona and sacrificed countless vessels
To him, it had to be done
No, it references the shame of the act and not of the failure
I feel like refuse and regret of its creation is enough

Sure they're not the exact same thing but shame and regret are heavily linked
I mean, I doubt the pale king was super happy about having to do the child murder
I'm surprised hkverse isn't full of pale beings
That's what I mean
Maybe they are somewhat reclusive
unlike gms pk actually cares about his children
Gms cares abt her children brah
Eh
Did you not do act 3
She just sucks at parenting
dat da joke
No the tablet was written after the pure vessel was chosen
Ahhh, that makes sense, thanks
Suicide is def plausible then, I guess I just don't like it
It does, good point
Considering pale king was able to have thousands of sons and daughters
I think you got that wrong
Guys hear me out on higher beings:
Dream beings tend to want to create offspring (and ecossystems), a more feminine trait
Pale beings tend to want to dominate, a trait commonly associated with males
So maybe the dream beings and the pale beings each come from one respective source, old gods if you will
And i think the void is a third old god
Dream beings, female
Pale beings, male
Void, genderless
And to top it off, VESSELS HAVE NO GENDER OR SEX
So maybe the void within the vessels is attempting to reform itself into the old god it once was, and the void entities are the start
They both cared about their children but idk if this is a comparison that makes sense
Vessels are tools to contain the infection moreso than children meant to be raised
GMS is an actual parent and a bad one at that
Where is the assumption about dreams in general coming from?
White Lady:
Grand Mother Silk
Ts whole theory is ass bro nvm
Dream beings tend to want to create offspring (and ecossystems), a more feminine trait
🤨
Pale beings tend to want to dominate, a trait commonly associated with males
🤨 🤨
Yeah ts is js crazy to so casually say kinda
bro was not cooking with that one
Pushing gender stereotypes on bugs in the big 25 🥀
Depends on the bug
Yeah I'm not saying like
All bugs must have bigger females
I'm talking like percentages
Generally yes
Female bugs do seem to be larger than male bugs on average, according to a few searches
Its concluded. The Pale Wyrm was a girl before reincarnating
does that mean he was a pale queen perchance?
I just think the best to think about higher beings is they all seek to form connections
Either with a kingdom, offspring, slaves, etc... They just crave interact in In any way with other beings
They don't always care about their offspring: See... Well, every higher being lol
not my goat Unn
wym, she’s never noted to be anything but benevolent
lost her strength and now she sleeps, truly inspiring
Sounds like me, except nobody says I'm inspiring 😔
you know I rarely come into this channel anymore
I come back one time and I find a theory that’s just sexism
I hate confirmation bias

What can you expect from a game that made its villains exclusively female 😔
what about the forebrothers, signis and gron ?
but muh gender essentialism
unless you're telling me they're secretly the foresisters
whats da topic
Apologies, we sent them off 😔
Forgehome nobles 🗣️
I can’t believe in addition to murdering a grieving gay man hornet would kill those closeted trans people
They're just doing their job man
LMAO 😭
Signis and Gron that is not Hornet
I wonder, did the bellheads come from Forgehome or did they start wearing them in Pharloom
Why can’t Signis and Gron get voided
Just me or beta burning bugs look like...
Their claw like staffs makes me think a lot of grimm
could be the case they were designed with grimm troupe in mind or it was a coincidence, either way it got changed
Fire could be a rare resource actually
I mean, fire as actual fire is not seen in much places
We see candles in the first game
Oh right
And in all the churches from the crests
Well, most of the churches at least
It’s probably not rare just not needed since yknow
Lumaflies are assumedly better
Or lumafly equivalents
We don’t ever really see those dying or burning out
Candles are a finite resource
Most likely they associate it with religious type stuff
true
Like shamans or jiji’s ritual or the chapels
Ig fire isn't used as lighting bcz luma/gleamflies are much more efficient
I think I had this convo with Tammo, he brought up that one of the dialogue from Quirrel in the comic vaguely implies that lumaflies die eventually, probably just a throw away line though
well they would naturally last longer
than candles ? yeah candles suck ass
speaking of the candles, they're always on when we enter whatever chapel but gets put out once we get the crest
is it just that when Hornet binds stuff it gets very windy ?
representative of the holy power leaving that place
oh yeah Joker have you seen the kinda new interview with TC from like 2 days ago
lion village confirmation made me so happy
Sure. But only by what one would call a Practitioner of the occult. My point is that each time fire is used, its used either in some kind of ritual or magic.
yeah
that doesn’t make it rare
Sharpe confirmed coming back raghhhhh
and it’s like calling candles rare because we have lightbulbs
silksong hype is not dead
The common bug certainly does not use it.
Yeah, because lumaflies exist
Right, but does anyone mention flames existence in either game who isn't some kind of god or occult practitioner?
????
dude regular maggots surround false knight’s corpse with candles
They’re not rare
There is nothing to prove fire is a commonly known source of light or power
you don’t need proof for that and that’s false regardless
fire isn’t some special magic thing it’s fire
I kind of doubt the magots set up those candles.
Just because I think they aren't the brightest lol
the candles
set up around their sibling’s corpse
wasn’t set up by them
😐
Yeah its just a room with candles. Is there anything to "prove" it either way? Since we love everything to be proof based in this channel
what do we think of star's flickering flame theory
its peak
basically you know how when you enter the shaman room the first time in act 3 the candles turn on
if you’re going to be willfully obtuse I don’t see a point in this discussion
theres a lore tablet in that room for a "flickering flame" spell
so stars theory was that they turn on the candles
Sometimes we can just settle for it being probably the case
full of lions...
the lion does not concern themself with non lion villages
I agree really. Im just saying fire is not commonly used
coral gorge dlc and the lion village is actually a lionfish village trust
bro is coping 😭
coral gorge isnt coming back
its gone
wtf even IS lion village though
a village full of lions
Never heard of that before that article
Full of lions
Its a kickstarter backer thing
For HK?
Yes
Imagine murdering multiple pilgrims and ripping masks off just so you can turn the candles on
it's a scrapped kickstarter village that was found in howling cliffs, mossbag asked tc and all they said was Full of lions
i wonder if the lifeblood lab thing might be a dungeon
sadly we have literally no info about them
😭 at least in 2019 TC teased coral tower but the other ones ? nothing
why did schreier not ask about this
its like a really weird anomaly
Every day I am sad that we didn’t get every stretch goal for HK
zote playable character
Would have been so easy to make too
They said later that it wasn’t gonna be an entirely new thing, just modified Knight movement and gameplay
the thing that i think is going to limit any future playable character is they need to be able to heal
You take crazy knockback, do little damage, etc.
which is an ability only really powerful people have
That is true
live laugh lion village
shakra watching as hornet heals all of the scars she got from fighting craws in 1 second while she has to live with them forever
next hk game we're gonna play as some rando and every enemy deals 5 masks and you cant heal and the game is permadeath
I'm trying not to laugh so hard rn
the estimated delivery times on hk's kickstater rewards being 2015 lmao !
I really wish HK was funded better
We didn’t get the two White Palace bosses either
those evolved into white palace enemies i think
TC got the money now...
or smth like that
If the next game is somw rando, it likely won't be anHK game and be a diffrent thing.
i could see a team cherry roguelike
Because TC says they design the world around the crhacter
Istg if Team Cherry doesn’t go back to HK and at LEAST rebalance the game so help me god
A "Hollow Knight" game dictates a Hollow Knight chracter
what's this from
one of them did eventually become kingsmould
The awaited "there weren't any retcons you saw nothing" update
Actually, TC merged the concepts of the two into the Kingsmoulds
shakra greymoor dialog
2 bosses turned into a singular enemy 💔
Lmfao, tho tbh i think all HK needs in terms of changes is rebalancing the SHIT out of the game
though tbf it would've been pretty jarring to have not one but two bosses in white palace
alas, i thought it was referencing pharloom bay
Also, we didn’t get 2 of the 4 bosses that would have been in Colosseum
It was presumably gonna be a lot bigger
It's already big enough😭
And has a whole path of pain to boot
It is pretty big, yeah, but still
Sorry if I’m dwelling on this for so long but what were they THINKING when making Charms??
A lot can be explained by it being their first big game
And running out of money
Yeah but I think they had money when they were making like, Godmaster at least
blame the playtesters !!!
The Charm system itself works fine enough but it is balanced SO poorly
I think by that point they started to get caught up with what would become silksong
Maybe so but come the fuck on
It is genuinely so easy to make some of the absolutely dogshit charms like, passable
charms were very last minute according to them
pls increase grimm child dmg and accuracy
I mean yea but I don’t think that excuses how poor the balancing is past release
So much of it is genuinely kinda baffling to me
Oh boy I sure do love a passive 2.25 dps at the cost of 8 soul every 4 seconds
Some of it really is wild
I calculated that soul eater is better than both catcher and twister combined by like 1 soul lol
Oh oh this one is fun
What if you just use all 3 of them and Shaman Stone like I do
Between every two Ddarks there will be a ddark
Silksong is way more balanced
You feel way less OP
In seriousness, from what I’ve checked, the first hit you can’t do a spell, but the next… 12 hits you can do a spell in between, then on the next you can’t
By a LOTTTT
HK has so many shit charms, a handful of solid options, and a couple way too busted ones
You can rush DDark shaman very early and it trivialises every enemy encounter in the game
I find it funny that Silksong's balance is one of the biggest "criticisms," because you can't find super OP busted stuff so everything is a "sidegrade."
wdym shaman stone isn't balanced ? you're telling me attacks as big as the bosses themselves that can hit multiple times, as well as grant invinsiblity, deal shit loads of damage, isn't balanced ? smh what do you expect me to do against these bosses...
cruel world...
When I started feeling powerful act 3 came around to put me in the dirt
They legit gave spell twister the condition of grubberflies elegy
am I the only one who thinks this sprite is weird?
Something something I made a tier list about this
Like I get that there's some mold on that bell thing, but why does it cover the outline?
Why do you say?
Its a bell guy with moss or dirt staining them
or mold yeah
wait it does
weird, probably just design though
I've always felt like it looks like it's cropped basically
It's Seth's arena
What about Kingsoul 😔
It's hot garbage
So hard to even think about I didn’t bother
Like, you get rid of it immediately, it would kinda suck if it was any good
Soul catcher needs a buff it's so irrelevant
It’s actually pretty fine
just a quirk of Ari's improved art style
look at the sand on the floor and the spikes here, same thing
soul catcher is good
Decent for healing, not for spells
Its soul twister if you want to use the extra soul for healing too its also a very early game charm
I mean it’s fine at spells but better at healing
i don't think people realize how not worth it soul catcher is
I’ve calculated the soul meter math
3 hits = 1 soul usage
3x3= 9
9 = full soul meter
9x2= 18
18 = full soul meter + the 3 full vessel fragments
And soul catcher gives the same amount
Therefore, soul catcher is useless
"Better for healing over spells" or whatever but spell twister is still better regardless
If you're going for spells twister outclasses it
unless you're using 0 spells and only save soul for healing then there is never a time where you would use catcher over twister
early game fine because you have no other charms but considering you can get heart, strength, shamans, etc. pretty early on using soul catcher just isn't worth
Yep, there are almost no tools that actually need buffs
For example, at first glance spider strings look bad, but it's not spider strings fault
IS NEEDOLIN FAULT FOR BEING SHIT
Ngl i'd put thorns in big buff category
Most of these buff/nerf situations would be fixable if they made damage depend on your nail damage.
Or add Charm upgrade system
My idea for it was getting rid of the iframe stealing, make it do 1.5x Nail hit, but make it incapable of doing multi hits
So I have a document for this
Is cloth a cicada or dead?
the internet has had enough of documents, idk if you've seen the undertale/deltarune/undertale yellow community recently but like fuck 💀
Both!
a million grimmchild buffs please !
What's a cicada?
i hear document and flinch because every other weak there's a new doc out abt someone
Every charm that needs any sort of rebalance (IMO)
Fury
fury is busted
I think if you can use Fury well, you deserve that 75% damage increase tbh
My ideas for top tier:
Glowing Womb: Upgradable damage by nail equivalent to the wispfire lantern buffs in silksong.
Dream shield summons a second Dreamshields when you are under 50% of health.
Heavy blow is erased from the game!
Grimmchild damage should just be better there is no excuse, i heard someone said you can get It to be too strong in early game but, that's fake??? You literally need to beat the third hardest boss wtf, and visit lots of difficult locations
Deep focus: Three notched
Sprintmaster: This actually doesn't need a nerf? Is a solid 1 cost
this doesn't state her exact age tho?? js says she's older than the other bugs, which usually have like a 1-28 day lifespan on average
-# also just realised that trees can live to like 80 usually, not sure how long a wyrm can live nor how long silk can last, but she's not related to root or silk so idc
my "theory" is 190% correct im so friggin smart
I mean it's cool, it's just that it's slightly akward in that specific room I showed
The varied damage of shaman actually comes from the vengeful spirit getting a size increase while other spells don't
Fury is the reason barbed bracelet is so ass, tc was scared of making it meta defining like fury
I think it would be better if Sprintmaster had a 10% increase to all movement except for dash
well I think it looks fine
Considering it’s post-Crystal Peaks, feels reasonable to me
Nail art buff is peak.
The only reason we are using needle strikes in silksong is because barbed bracelet SUCKS
Needle Strikes are affected by it tho
I think the nail damage reduction in quick slash is unnecessary, just cutting to half soul gain would be fine imo
Or reducing the speed increase
Yeah that one was fuckin tricky
They are? I heard someone said they aren't
Or was that patched?
Wiki says they are so idk
I feel barbed bracelet actually needs a nerf in damage increase (or not) but in exchange it would only increase damage by 1 per attack instead of doubling damage
I think 25% and just an extra 1 damage would be solid enough, and would actually potentially be broken for Beast Crest
Lifeblood heart imo could have been a 1 notch cost keeping the 2 lifeblood masks, do the lifeblood core would give 6 masks and making a fun progression in lifeblood charms number of notches haha
2 notches 3 masks can still work tho
Hi I am new to discord and just wanted to say hi to the people in the hollow knight & silk song community
why did wormways get|| plasmified|| in act 3 when the ||void threads|| spreaded
Take my answer with a grain of salt but I think it’s purely coincidental
i mean the lifeblood creature in og hk is also in the abyss so
Like in HK, when you kill a Dreamer or get Monarch Wings, Forgotten Crossroads gets infected
maybe they are realted
It doesn’t get infected because those things happened, it’s simply a matter of time passing
I think it’s a similar case here
honestly yeah thats prob it
Maybe they are mutually exclusive
lifeblood cant get infected by the void
Hmmm that could be true
and lifeblood infection was before
its still interesting that the lifeblood core is in the abyss which has the void
Indeed
all lifeblood may come from abyss creature
so immune to the void by default
oh its called abyss creature yeah
Yeah lifeblood comes from the abyss creature most likely and it is some form of higher being as it appears in godhome
And the godseeker does not recognize it
We don’t know if they Abyss Creature is even from the Abyss is the thing
Could have been locked there
lifeblood is hinted to have marine origins cuz zylotol says his master found plasmium in salt stricken waters at the edge of pharloom (pharloom bay)
Most likely was because the pale king banned lifeblood but that door needing lifeblood to open is really weird
I’ve heard that there isn’t any confirmation that PK actually did that
Joni’s blessing and/or lifeblood heart and core most likely
The kindly heretic
Hmmm idk
Like yes, Joni was obvs frowned upon, but it doesn’t make any mention of PK
Who else would it be heretical to in the howling cliffs?!
Right next to kings pass
I assume that the reason they’re even in Howling Cliffs is because they’re a heretic
Exactly
Well yeah but we don’t know if PK did that
Check lifeblood heart and core
I thing Salubra shop description has something about it being taboo
Taboo yeah
She’s in hallownest
But also like… PK did die a long ass time ago
Hallownest died before the PK did
He hid in his palace
While the vessel was beginning to fail
Yea
And after WL went to queens gardens to begin mourning
Yeag
Also I think we know why pk wouldn’t like it considering what happens to the worm ways in silksong where hornet says that it reminds her of the radiance infection
It looks just like the radiance
Yeh
1 bloated
2 reanimating the dead
3 spitting globs of the infection made manifest
4 whatever the fuck happened to plasmified zangoo
Is like that one goober at glowing womb
True
Perhaps, tho idk if he was still around by that time
Good night 👋
The Red Maiden shares her experiences with previous life mates, mates which died in... peculiar ways.

This is lore no memes
For a serious discussion about that, do y’all think one of her previous mates could have been Hive Knight
i wonder what weakened hornet so much in silksong
Hornet's love of fuzzy things started early...
I seem to recall someone working out that the timing wouldn't be feasible with Hornet x Hive Knight
it was said that it was a rune cage,
but a cage weakening her that much for that long seems a bit much
So Y’know how Hornet doesn’t take fall damage because her terminal velocity isn’t high enough to hurt her?
and the rune cage in the slab she dealt with rather easily
she built up a resistance
Well, because the rune cage is SO heavy, it made her terminal velocity high enough to gravely injure her, on TOP of being weakened inside of it
hornet does lifeblood in her freetime, thats why she doesnt lose her mind when plasmified
At least that’s how I interpreted it
You can see how much the fall hurt her because of her period cramps falling unconscious not too long after
its good
ok
Guys
I have a theory
What if phantom is a phantom thief
Cause she use persona to summon mist
That's why she holds her mask to her face
(pls don't hate me)
i mean then the beginning of act 3 should strip your abilities also
i think rune cages are just really good at sapping strength
I mean, more that she was in a rune cage THEN got absolutely destroyed
yeah
It’s a nasty combo
but i think it was mainly the rune cage
Yea
im still trying to figure out the exact mechanics how the rune cage would work
since silk skills would be like things hornet memorizes how to do
so did it mess up her memory?

or did it weaken her to the point she knew how to do them but couldnt
and if she took a long nap she would figure it out
It’s kinda weird yeah
Like for TK it’s pretty explainable why it didn’t have dash even tho other Vessels did cause it actually did just lose its memory
For Hornet it’s a little weird tho
yeah but hornet seems fine
It could just be going for too long outside of a kingdom
i feel like quirrel makes sense hes mortal
tk isnt tho
i dont think tk lost any memory tbh
since you straight up take the dash item
you arent learning it
you are picking it up
so the knight just lost its stuff
He… sorta is
Like, with Monomon’s Mask, he is immortal
maybe it grants him some power
but i dont think it makes him immortal
monomon is also a mortal
It does I’m pretty sure
shes a cool person but she isnt special
can you find the dialog that says that
Lookin
The Madam's life is extinguished and with it her seal breaks.
It's a heavy thing you attempt, but I've seen your prowess up close and she too believed you capable.
Be on your journey then, and allow me rest a time. With the deed complete, I begin to feel my age.
This is… admittedly sketchy evidence
yeah
It does seem like the mask gives him an unnaturally long life tho…
possibly
i feel like the way that makes sense to me is people who wander in the wastes lose memories of hallownest
Though I think immortal was a stretch, he is also old as FUCK
but people who come in from the wastes and were never part of prime hallownest dont have memory issues
During the events of HK, he is older than both Hornet and all the Vessels
god this timeline is so wack
So more that it matters if Hallownest is where you come from?
i keep remembering that it is fully possible the events of hk happened just as the citadel was being built
Perhaps
yeah
you relinquish the mind pk gave you
but if you never had that in the first place
(To clarify, Monomon was likely training Quirrel when he was at least a little old, old enough to be entrusted with her mask, which makes me think he’s at least a little older)
Yeah, though ofc it does depend on the bug
Mantises would be fine, for example
They definitely did not
so they wouldnt have any issues
Frankly, I feel like only what would later be seen as Husks were actually “ascended” by the guy
Bees? Nope, they didn’t get along well with PK. Shrumals? Got along well with him, but actively chose to side with him because of his foresight
Moths (should be obvious)
Mosskin, nope, Unn alr did that. Snail Shamans, doubtful? They seem to be doing fine in Pharloom.
And the Spider Tribe fuckin hated the guy
I’m not well versed on the subject
he was ruler of verdania before the citadel presumably
regardless of which timeline we choose that means he is older than hornet
Oh, yeah true
Okay so
GMS ascends pharlids, eventually the Weavers she makes seal her and make the Citadel
Green Prince was ruling presumably before then
And only AFTER do the Weavers leave the Citadel to go to Hallownest
So yeah, bro OLD
i mean cindril weavers left before citadel but that still means hes older than the rebellion
True
i guess being an old heart means you are basically as close as a mortal can get to a hb
I’m not sure about that but it definitely has some sort of physical trait to it
but like karmelita is fucking a sneeze away from dying and green prince hasnt aged a fucking day
The power of homosexuality idk
i wonder if there is actually more to palestag
it could also just be a timeline miscalculation
It’s certainly a very very interesting name and appearance
Palestag was just a fat cloverstag or something
so it is possible there were other green princes before the two we know after gms arrived
i love silksong timeline
what was tc cooking with old hearts
when the heart is old!
I’m old!
HK timeline in general honestly
Though I guess in HK it's more like
i mean hk was a lot more clear about the sequence of events
The amount of time passed is the bigger problem
Yeah
the exact time isnt relevant really
but in silksong there is so much confusion over the sequence of events
particularly regarding the old hearts
if you figure out karak timeline you win 1 million dollars
are you /srs or /j
/j.
if i had 1 million dollars i would not be talking here rn
hiii
karak timeline is the navier-stokes equation of silksong
darn
who ?
fitting
Seal we should go back to trying to fix silksong problems
we should
i just got back to my college housing from thanksgiving tho
i gotta settle in
You would have to go back in time and Puppet Willam pellen to do that. Since they developed the game Sequentially With Silk being pulled into the abyss always in mind
I never lament Either game. I let not Greed Cloud what i can have in the present.
(except For ETV, they have to resolve it at this point lol)
college assignmet is kicking my ass rn
Games Are a consequence of Who people are. And people are not perfect. So i end up Not Caring as much.
I’m still so curious why Widow is so feral. Like yeah being in such a physical punishment for likely thousands of years will do that to you but the first sinner seems to be doing dandy (despite the whole dead thing but she seems still sane||. What’s with the growling, snarling?? Did the punishment make her revert back to a pharlid (which makes sense considering some of her attacks) since she has no way to her own silk, which is the one thing that made weavers stand out among all of pharloom. When I think about it more it’s more likely due to GMS wanting her only weaver left to be loyal to her but have no way of escaping, despite widow already have been loyal before and after the rebellion.
first sinner is pretty similar, and she is a beautiful lady in an elegant gown, so
maybe that's just how Weavers be
Maybe she learned that it’s called the oven even though you of in the cold food and of out the hot eat food
It’s good to consider all our options
The popular theory is that having her mask forcefully removed made her go insane
It holds up with what we know about masks
Yeah rip widows sanity
And also the pins stuck in her back for constant pain
I think that theory is quite obvious since the weavers can create silk and thrive on it, but widow’s ability to make silk was forcefully taken for her despite?? not being apart of the rebellion but I’m guessing her case is similar to lace; “even tho she claims loyalty I’ll make sure she’ll never be able to betray me”. Widow = no mask lace = depends on GMS bc she is made of almost entirely silk. The difference is one masks their loyalty
Or the weavers did that to her because she was a gms fanatic
We really don’t know
there is a removed cutscene that showed the weavers demasking widow
Doesn’t matter
Removed
Also that’s not even true, I’ve seen the sprites
Its unclear who was removing her mask, but her mask was definitely being removed
Correct
People spread so much misinformation about cut content
we have a weaver who has always been a grandmother silk glazer, who refused to flee pharloom who just happens to have had her silk disabled and her mask removed
i wonder who would do that 🤔
Cut content should not be used as evidence
The weavers are still half beasts and she got pins in her back with seems too brutal for gms to do to her last loyal
And we saw she has some soul after the true ending
Where she helped hornet save lace
What???
Widow??
No I mean gms
Oooh
Yeah gms is a mother first and foremost
An extremely flawed one but a mother nonetheless
I dont know how to prove it, but i think sharpe is gonna be a sort of vessel. Like not a child of the Pale king vessel, but maybe a voided child of another higher being, potentially the masters.
I have no evidence for this, but sharpe reminds me a suspicious amount of the the hollow knight.
That is if she was loyal. She very well could have been part of the rebellion, captured and tortured, until she broke.
No I agree. Im thinking something like the kings moulds. Void shoved into a shell and given a purpose
she was loyal, the only weaver(we know of) who stayed when the others fled
Gms doesn't seem to use regular pins and she would probably have used a different torture method unlike what we see with widow
Plenty of weavers stayed tho. All the weavers in those deathlike states from the various shrines, where we bind their silk/power to get new silk skills, for example. And those put themselves in that state after GMS was put to sleep afaik
Those weavers weren't loyal to GMS though
Thats what Im saying
they didnt stay because they wanted to, but out of duty. unlike widow
How would you ever know for a fact she stayed because she wanted to?
Also I thought her staying was proof for her being loyal, but now her being loyal was the basis for her staying. Thats the most circular argument I ever heard.
she degrades those who fled, which i would say is a sign she didnt like them, and sees their actions as cowardly or undesirable
"Ohhhh! She is here! The rare birthling! Precious child of Wyrm and Weaver!
Spawn of those who dared to flee. She has found her way home... at last."
Widow is quite simply a simp
biggest (and only) glazer
is widow the only weaver that stayed loyal to gms
I wonder why gms never seems to acknowledge that
Does GMS ever even talk
Weavers of Hallownest that went back to Pharloom seem to be not found, maybe Team Cherry addresses it
Maybe telepathically
Because she told the Weavers that they were divine
Presumably without talking
maybe she can do that with Silk Powers/ Haunting, she does that in memories so wouldn't be far fetched
This too
She talks to her hive mind telepathically I think
The Weavers weren't haunted though
She older
did the fall not just take away her powers, but also her shaws
Dropped that young ppl slang
lawsuit from Shaw Internet Cable Services
Idk if team cherry even knew that the community loved the shaw line
There is a theory that it was just a taunt to the night to test him
they weren't conventionally haunted yes
Lol
If she can scream, she probably has the ability to talk
That’s not rlly what I was asking but alr
She kinda talks
In the silk hearts
I see
by @shellwoodsheart
lil thing i wanna put here
Got my damn account pwned by the fuckwit who keeps sending the scam screenshots here, fuck
I didn't send anything weird here did i?
there is a discord search function
bad image, handwriting should look more deranged to fit the vibe of sk lore
It would've gotten deleted anyway
then message modmail to contact the mod team about it
But I guess me not being banned means whoever is it, didn't send it
Nah tc DEFINITELY knows
are we not gonna question how deep docks just have a direct link to a giant cavernour ravine that connects pharloom and the abyss?
Why not
Weve seen multiple groups explore the Abyss already. Why wouldnt the citadel
The citadel could easily know about the abyss with weaver technology and why not dig down to it?I mean we know that the weavers had gone to the void to escape gms so it is quite plausible
Also I need this question answered that is pharloom bay canon to pharloom and if it is ,is it just inaccessible
?
Also in cut content we have the beast master who appeared in the beastfly arena and was layed on the ground presumably dead
Zylotol mentions that his master found lifeblood in pharloom bay
He doesn't say "pharloom bay"
But hes definitely talking about that
i think we will unlock Pharloom Bay in DLC, i don't think Steel Assasin Sharpe will fit anywhere else in game narratively, unless he comes to citadel
pharloom bay is boat to steel city trust (i am spreading this agenda every time pharloom bay is mentioned)
lol, it makes sense somewhat it could be , lot of others think that as well
i think we might get more crests in DLC as well as tools
DLC might be centered around Lifeblood and Steelhearts, i don't think we will see godseeker's first, because Godseeker DLC wasn't first DLC for Hollow Knight and it feels unlikely for Godseeker to appear in Pharloom soon
maybe hidden dreams DLC is coming to Silksong
I hope they don't do Godseeker again
I hope they actually give us a Lifeblood DLC for once
Lol
Plasmium*
The "Lifeblood" DLC in the first game had nearly nothing to do with the substance 💔
epic fail
They said in the interview that they knew people wanted a similar area to relight bosses and do pantheon so it probably won't be for a while but it's probably on their mind right
A boss rush, yes, but I don't want just copy paste godhome
I didn't really see it in the same wave of the others, is just an overhaul update
I'm sure they won't cause that would be boringgg
Thematically I think the godseekers are dead
There were 2 ways to interpret ur msg but I was pretty sure it was godseekers like as a whole and not the concept of boss refighting
Y'all think they gonna make the Ascended version of some bosses the Blackthreaded versions
God no
probably lmao !
I don't want the same Void attacks on 46 bosses
What
Yeah that’s boring
They really got old quick
waiter ! waiter ! more void slop please !
Last Judge has data for it even though you can't get to act 3 without beating her
There are only a couple black threaded bosses
Oooh 2 contact damage and the same 3 attacks oooooo
i want it but it seems that it will be most expanded on third game
You can if you go through phantom
the fear is they add more of them
You need to beat Last Judge to move the fleas
i really don't want more void, less would be better
If we do get a godhome I think it would be more memory related
Or Lifeblood bosses
i feel like they are setting up lifeblood to be main narrative force of third game
I also think it would be a lot more personally related to Hornet
Godhome is kind of in universe very unrelated to the knight
yeah, maybe more lifeblood quests, i will be able to tolerate that, i want to find out more about it
I would like to see Hornet calling the godseeker a bitch tho
Will hornet remember her time in godhome? (assuming that the knight did godhome)
Something about telling her she doesn't need to simp for gods and can just live her own life
does anyone else think that Steel Hearts may also fill role of Godseeker's? that thought is i back of my mind because i don't know who else could do it, Shamans are Dead, Weavers are dead, doubt Moss Druid would be capable, maybe they introduce equivalent group or Steel Hearts will be searching for higher beings and helping hornet with boss rush
Why would they do that though
It might feel dreamlike. Like she doesn’t know if it was real
Like what would the Masters gain from it
They have something to do with higher beings, so its not completely out of the question
we don't know yet, they can expand it if they wanted to go that route
If I had a dream about godhome and godhome happened irl a few years later, I would notice
Well yeah basically everything a Steelheart does is by order or with consent of the Masters, so they have to be involved.
Godhome specifically not a boss rush. I think we’re getting a boss rush
We don't have enough information on them to invalidate this idea
if that ends up being case i would want either Steel Heart(knight-sized maybe sharpe) or Grimmchild to be protagonist of third game
godseekers won't be in pharloom, they have no reason to be
Yeah pharloom has one higher being
Way less than hallownest
that but also all the godseekers were in the mask of the one in Hallownest, and they either died or stayed after the events of HK
I think they'll add lesser dlcs first and top it off with steel city with the pantheons
so no reason for them to leave Hallownest and go to Pharloom
Or just a void filled godhome where we could fight the shade lord
They said dlc will be way more ambitious in general
theyll justify a boss rush some other way
That's not happening imo
maybe Masters want something for it, Godseeker's achieved Void Entity and conjured him as god of all gods though ascension, maybe Steel Hearts and Masters want to reproduce that outcome with boss rush of their own
Plus I think they’re kinda dead
Yeah my idea too. Maybe they want to awaken Hornet's power
maybe Ascended GMS will summon Knight in Memory
They’re not all powerful. They were already super weak when we meet them. I doubt they’re around now
Ya I'm onto nothing the godseekers died when the void consumed godhome
if its EtV, theyre dead either way
if its DnM, they probably stayed
I was talking about the shade lord bossfight idea
*Godseeker
theres only one physical one, the rest are carried in the mask
Oh but still the shade lord is horneta half brother so I don't see why she should fight him
I wonder what the masters think about the shade lord
They were impressed by the voidheart
Even if they did survive the godhome ending I doubt they’re around now. The only godseeker we see physically is really weak
Hornet won't be ascended to become Void Entity though, they probably want attention of Ghost/Lord of Shades
supposedly Lord of Shades and Masters are similar in nature somehow
I see them as more of a hive mind
Ig putting her in danger would alert the Knight
I saw them as a society all carried in the mind of one of their members
Insert ancient civilization steel master headcanon
Hornet's version of ascension would be gaining different crests and getting silk
i mean in the fic im writing rn an HB hybrid like hornet goes to godseeker post EtV (theyre alive just filled with void) and she directs them to hornet bc she was powerful
The Godseekers are all mortal
i think this is how it works
This is because if the physical one dies, they ALL die
yeah, game lore subtly points to that, and they want knight
Does it point to that?
I don't think the steel city and ancient civilization are connected in ANy eay
I was just speculating
Way
plausible, but how would they achieve that in memory, unless they make it special memory with essence/dreams
Yeah no clue
Guys the shade lord existed prior to the knight it's just that the knight merged with it
I think
I think it’s implied that shade lord is just the void united and controlled under one mind
The Knight is the Lord of Shades
Power without unity
Strength before unseen
You know it’s probably good pk died on his own terms and wasn’t brutally torn apart by sl like rad was
Would the shade lord want to do that
Ancient Civilization wanted to become Shades supposedly like Knight is internally and Knight with Kingsoul achieved Lord of Shades form, in AC were higher beings and become Shades, it makes sense with Focus and Shade they could achieve Void given Focus and Voidheart in their own way, and since Knight is said to be similar to Steel Heart's Masters Masters could be ancient civilization since they vassals can control void like knight does, and Steel Assassin Sharpe seems to be Void with Steel Shell, maybe Steel has properties of withstanding internal Void/Shade
I don’t know about the knight but I feel like the shaes from the abyss wouldn’t think too kindly of their father
We only see the shades of the vessels in the ancient basin butttt the void tendrils could be something
Thk might be the only one who loves him
Yeah lol
like i said, game lore subtly points to is, and it is plausible
I don’t think ghost cares about pk
I like this theory, but it is majorly speculation. Not implied by the game
plus Ancient Civilization literally wrote about being cleansed by void and shades, so very likely
I don't know about the steel repelling void part but the everrbloom and the land where it came from could be endgame content for the hollow knight universe
it is but very subtly, it does have some holes
Cleansed by void as in saved by it
how can you be sure that it's right way it interpret their tablets?
okay, i doubt Hornet will travel to lands of serene in next DLC
I didn't say that
I said it's endgame content for the hollow knight universe
i know i just added my opinion
All good
The fact that no higher being can repel the void and the fact that cleansed in the prefix
First Light/Everbloom could be but i doubt this is going to be in next DLC
Lands of serence could be
Next doc prolly related to lifeblood
Or plasmium
Zylotol said his master found it in pharloom bay
And we know in the acmi maps pharloom bay led to lifeblood spire
Sooo
i mean that Void Cleanse us to me sounds similar to Vessels being hollowed out, context of lore tablets supports it with them documenting similarities to vessel nature
I wonder why the AC doesn't have presence outside the Abyss in Pharloom. Gamewise it is for the surprise in act 3 but lore wise I wonder what the reason is. Maybe they couldn't get out?
I agree
Prolly because they mainly inhabited the abyss rather than the surface and they ventured out in hallow nest but not in pharloom
Yeah but why
i still don't understand what that has to do with cleansing or however you interpret it, and how void saves ancient civilization?
Worshipped void
It didn't save them they worshipped the void
maybe they wanted to be in proximity to power source
but why did you say saved then?
I get that they are mainly inhabiting the abyss, but the question is that why didn't they venture out
They have soul totems and shade gates and ruins all over Hallownest but nothing in Pharloom
.
Oh
One reason is they just could not get out from the Abyss into Pharloom
they did in Hallownest it seems, just not in Pharloom, which is interesting to me too
Maybe they were stopped by the lava
And magma
Maybe they originated from hallownest and then inhabited the abyss?
yeah, that's very observant of you, i didn't think of that
That's one reason
Guys i might be crazy but what if hallow nest is the centre of the hollowknight universe
Debunk this
you don't explain lore tablets well
Ya mb
We don't need to debunk something with zero evidence supporting it
it's okay, we all are here to learn
Maybe wyrms come to points of strong civilizations?
And what if the mask maker worked for the ancient civilization
Void, Essence and Soul seem to be Primal Forces of Hollow Knight Universe, Silk, Dreams, memories, infection, lifeblood, Nightmares and Shades are byproducts of that
Lifeblood is its own thing i suppose
it seems to be the case, Steel Hearts have connection to Void
Dreams and Nightmares seem primordial as well
Nightmares are the byproduct of dreams i think
Oh ya i remember that
maybe not, since it has essence particles in lifeblood room, behaves similarly to infection which is, game alludes that they have connection to Essence, but Abyss Creature may have connection to void too
Also good thing to point out that every civilization will die out including the Grimm troope and the nightmare heart
both are made up by essence, like how memories are made by silk
Oh I didn't read Essence mb
Ig that's true
it's okay
Infection and Lifeblood seems to be opposing diseases, but that may be because they are made by Opposing Higher Beings
My headcanon is that the lifeblood higher being is a butterfly
Infection, Moth, light,
Lifeblood, butterfly, void?
Radiance is weird she is made of Light brighter than essence, and that's how she was able to partially repel void, only other thing that seems to be able to do that is First Light/Everbloom
Not sure
i mean i doubt lifeblood is innately related to void, i think they are both made by essence by powerful higher beings
it may very well be
The lighthouse can pacify the Void. Void can be quelled with a bright enough light
They don't need to be opposites. Lifeblood might also be light related
they seem to be similar yet different, the way moths and butterflies are
yeah, that's true Lumafly Lantern, Radiance, Everbloom
i think theyre related somehow
they aren't inherenltly opposing, but may made by opposing gods
also considering blue and orange are complimentary colors
Another similarity to add to the long list
I have been saying this for the longest time but butterfly hb is real
They don't believe me but I know
Relatable
No relation to lifeblood hb
i was half joking
Why does Marissa have hair
Unless lifeblood hb made butterflies and then went on some villian arc
And then we need trobbios help to stop them :O /silly
i mean so are Green (Unn) and Red(Nightmare Heart) only oppsing thing is that one is heart, scarlet flame related other is plant, foliage related
When I first talked about it in this channel, people didn't fw it, but now everyone believes it 💔
/j
Oh hell yeah
I would love to talk to that depressed theater kid again
I will someday figure out what the fuck those vault robots are
they mostly seem to make plants but there is no reason why they can't make both, unn did similar thing
The complimentary colour thing is valid for lifeblood and the radiance because there are already so many similarities
Its not used for unn and the troupe because there's no other similarities to support the theory
He’s the only boss you fight twice who lives both times besides Hornet from the original hollow knight and lace
?
yeah, i was trying to make that point actually complimentary colour thing may not be reliable
Mantis lords
I don’t know if godhome counts
and i saw a thing pointing out that trobbio's fight sequence mimics how you die in hk
start normal, die once, come back darker, when you die then you explode into a bunch of particles
Grimm too
I don’t think dream fights count either
yeah if dream fights counted thered be a few more
Shameless repost of my theory (headcanon)
The trobbio stage bots
hmmmmmm that does kind of make sense actually
What are you talking about
hornet was likely not fighting to death, which would be valid explanation of why we fight trobbio two times, same with pinstress and shakra but we fight them one time, as for why knight fight hornet two times is that hornet can evade/flee when injured too much, so can lace in silksong
I wish we could find a way under the stage to find trobbio post fight and scare the shit out of him
yeah
The uhh
They’re also typically like main characters
i had a theory a while back about Roots being inherently parasitic to Higher Beings/Wyrms, so if PK was 'touched pale' like that, then White Lady could have inherited that paleness as she was hitching a ride on PK's wyrm body
Dis
She did have half of his soul
look like cogflys
i think its just the guys from the vaults
what version of silksong did you get that allowed you to fight trobbio three times???
Probably just originally what preformed onstage before trobbio took over

maybe greyroot is a lesser version of the ewhite lady
it was obvious mistake
these guys
and the white lady wasnt originally pale
Where did you get that
grey root
That’s speculation
ya
i mean the fact that both need higher beings to reproduce is pretty coincidental and the fact that the white lady still hs the urge to breed
White Lady and Greyroot are probably different species as they reproduce in different ways
Its weird how the white lady just appeared one day with the pale king or something
They’re looking for gods and she is a god
Greyroot is a parasite that rebirths itself White Lady reproduces the old fashioned way
i theorized that too, cursed ending would suggest it to be possible, interestingly enough white lady is total opposite of that as she seems to grow that
"the chance of meeting is too rare"
shes not just a regular ass god
By godseeker standards you’re right
Massive moss charger is a god to them
What are we talking about, Vaultkeepers
White lady + Grey root
the whole pantheoens are made of people they found powerful and named them gods the only god they had where the gods of thunder and rain and hte radiance
the white lady is another god they seek
Going face to face with an actual God must be an experience
The potential connection between them
Oh ok
grey root maybe the the form the white lady had before communing with the pale king
I doubt it
we know that some phenomenon such as ascension can change reproduction and everything about bug, since weavers were ascended from Pharlids, it is likely rebirthed Greyroot from cursed ending in inherently different compared to regular greyroot as absorbing entire god can change species , it is viable that they could be more like white lady
This is comparing apples to oranges though
plus Hornet changes Physique when binding GMS
both are fruits
Someone showed that there were grey-ish plant roots in the ancient basin, which is near the place where the white lady had kids
Pharlids just had their reproductive anatomy messed up it seems
They still copulate
There's no reason to think Greyroot would stop rebirthing itself
I also think that was gms messing with them so they wouldn’t pay attention to anyone but her
White Lady is a weird God
The others kinda have something to their name, White Lady kinda just exists as an extention of PK
We don’t have a very large pool of gods to compare to
Not really, but in that small pool she's the odd one out
Also important to note she’s nerfed herself by the time we meet her
also in the twisted child ending i think that the screeching sounds could be coming fro something which looks simlar to the white lday as that was greyroots main goal to infect and reproduce with a higher being
you mean other than circumstances of rebirth
So we don’t know what powers she might have had
also the parasite could be driving hornet to fight gms

i am absolutely onto nothing
Grimm has the Troupe, Radiance had the Moths, PK had a whole Kingdom, Unn had the mosskin, GMS had the Weavers
Which fucker am i missing?
both Greyroot and White Lady are both roots, they are in same category, neither of them are Gods
um um NUU!
they have siblings i guess
White lady is a higher being
They have themselves 🔥
guys am i js crazy or do nuu and unn look alike
Point is, WL's followers are just PK's followers
nuu could be a adolescent higher being
People theorize she’s a young hb
both are slugs and names are similar
is Salubra slug too?
Nah
She doesn't have legs
what about Sylphean Slug aren't they also slug
special bug
which produces the oil
That's certainly a theory
neither does Unn it seems
A theory of all time
Yeah lmao
if anything...
We never see unn's full body, right?
Who said that one? Chiefo?
Salubra seems more like a maggot or smth. We don’t really know what she is
maybe nuu needs to "taste" the beings we have killed and needs them to grow?
I forgot lmao. I do remember they said it was a stretch
nah she looks more like a mosquito
also unrealted but
silkeaters
are always found around large amounts of silk
That's one goofy ass higher being
nuu and unn do seem alike
Didn’t eat fast enough 😔
big back silkseaters
Salubra is slug according to wiki(before saying wiki is false or not a source double check it before it) https://hollowknight.wiki/w/Charm_Lover_Salubra
What do you mean
They might be scavengers who were eating the dead bugs
she isnt a higher being
Its not like any other rebirth changed how her reproduction would work
She doesn't change it like that
when did i say she was, just a slug, that's it
@visual glacier why
That claim has no source
you did say smthing about her being realted to unn and nnuu
She's called a slug by the artbook
Oh
was the artbook made by team strawberry?
That should be edited in as a source
team mango
They helped write it so its presumably canon
word of god is secondary to in-game canon
As in they made corrections n such
well, first source markers i see is in third one, first one at bottom of page points to wanderers journal, does anyone have wanderer's journal? or information from it about salubra?
That source is for her gender
I don’t think hollow knight put as much thought into the species of the characters lol
I have WJ
Sylph" is possibly a blend of from Latin sylvestris and nympha,[3] sylvestris being a common synonym for sylph in Paracelsus. Anthony Trollope note a similar usage in the Aeneid, where silvestris is taken as an elliptical form of nympha silvestris[4] ("forest nymph"). Jacob Grimm uses this phrase as a gloss for the Anglo-Saxon wudu-mær (roughly equivalent to "woodmare"), which he also takes as a metaphorical name for an echo.[5] Jan Baptist van Helmont, a near contemporary of Paracelsus and coiner of the word "gas", uses sylvestris in the sense of "wild" found this in wikipedia because i wanted to do some research on the sylphean slug
when, i never did that, i just said she is slug, along with Sylphean Slug
sylphean could be a special bug found in lush areas maybee??? im stretching
i can't verify that unless i know for sure or see it for myself sorry
The "[1]" is written next to her gender in the wiki
