The ai when i play against 3 ai in singelplayer it wont even claim a easy village when it has like 3 giants. This was on water world.

A lot of things are weird about the AI's behavior. I assume you're meaning the village you're standing on. I can't say for sure why they didn't go there, but there could be a number of explanations, not simply "the AI doesn't work."
