they've always been called yelly belly i think people are just stupi
^
I think jelly belly flows better or seems more natural
zoy has stated that swedish people pronounce j as y
he also doesn't fully know why it's yelly belly
Yelly Belly is the name I gave it
Jelly Belly is also a well-known brand of jelly beans
Ah figured maybe that was why after I thought about it
But I have grown on yelly belly
It fits polytopia
yeah same as german
makes sense
yes I agree, almost everything has a wacky name in polytopia, like these
are called khamelks
It's very wacky, and maybe it would work if it belonged to some other tribe, but Aquarion's names sound a bit more dignified than "Yelly Belly"
I think a good name would be "Medusian" or "Medusion"
It recalls "medusa," the name for an adult jellyfish, and includes the "ian" of Amphibian or "ion" of Tridention and Aquarion
Imo it should have a yellow spot on its belly
that's one way of fixing it
Or maybe I could just name it Jelly instead?
Nah yelly is cute, especially nice cause j is y in Swedish, but a I think a yellow spot would be quite fun. I do feel majority of the community would vote to change it to jelly. Not me though
I don't think a yellow spot would go well with Aquarion's pink and grey color scheme, and it would be hard to put it on the belly to fully realize the pun of "Yelly Belly."
Yelly on its own (without "Belly") is cute, but I also love how calling it a "Jelly" follows the same rationale as the name of the Puffer[fish].
Pufferfish and Jellyfish -> Puffer and Jelly
Yes!
Jelly for the win!
I know there will be a lot of Yelly Belly nostalgia, so maybe the Aquarion Tribe Week's lore this year can be about an individual Jelly named Yelly Belly
that's a good idea
Like if Yelly Belly was the name of a Jelly war hero
Or the beloved companion of a Tridention
Or a mythical figure
I was thinking more like "mythological protector of the Aquarion"
