Shaman boost has an effect for drylands and lakes but cym still has it worse with naval control now. So the update makes them better than before on land and worse than before on water compared to other tribes (from what I saw).

Cym got no new naval units :/

The main competitive multiplayer mode is dryland and regardless if they are strong on land and weak on water why would they need a land buff?

Wdym main competitive multiplayer mode. Maybe random games, but lakes and archipelago are more often picked than drylands in ranked competitive games

2v2 lakes is a lot better than 1v1 lakes though

Lakes suffers more the smaller the map is
