#remove fire on neautral vilages

thats the point
I dont think you should be told whenever a player essentially captures a city. Even seeing an already settled city under seige in the fog of war is too much for me. I feel like the fog of war should give you no info of what's in it.
That removes the element of surprise and does not build tension if you know exactly what the opponent has
in a 1v1, sure. but with more than one opponent, it doesnt to that
i fell same way about it
Ah yeah who cares about 1v1s or 2v2s anyways
so, this was just a quick test to se if it was fun or not. I don't have a strong opinion about it myself. Kind of interesting strategic info but it feel wrong to set a village on fire.. Waht does everyone think about this? Keep or delete?
I kind of like it, but most people seem to not 🙂
There is a very long discussion about the burning villages and other ways of getting information about your opponents here:

results of informal poll
Overall the response to this change has been quite negative with a few people being neutral.
Personally I don't like it because of how much information it gives. It removes some of the surprise factor of the game. It also allows early aggression tribes to ambush their opponents a lot easier
I think it’s cool, but can’t tell if the criticism is coming from a lot of people or a vocal minority (which could happen through survivorship bias)
At least, I don't hear anyone cheering about it 🙂
i think we should remove it personaly i have a problem with burning citis like its a fog of war you shouldnt see anything you didnt scouted
people generally do not put "keep this feature' in the suggestions. That's why I'm unsure
This unnecessary change just outright tells you to never ever use explorers and only take workshops, also it doesn't make sense, how is there a fire smoke if you are building a city from village?
No one wants it
I still think it’s cool. Better than the other secret ways of getting info about your opponents. But nbd to remove. It’s also kind of weird to be looking at the fog every turn to check for fires
I do not like this, I can see it being a separate setting for those who want but having it be default feels like it ruins the game and the surprise factor IMO
@muted kite
I already know.
It will be removed, you can all relax.
Nice
I just saw that this poll is inherently flawed with regards to burning villages. It doesn't have a vote to keep stuff as is (plus it was hidden specifically in a post filled with people talking about why they dislike too much information)
And nice 🙂
#4 is ideal
I will post my idea here of adding fire on neutral villages on the smithery tech as a sort of interesting advantage and buff to vengir
it simply fits the idea of the tribe to go after the enemy and balances the fact that their economy sucks even more now

the fire over villages without any techs is a bad idea... however, having it on smithery would solve the issue.
