Concept is using steam turbine output to cool 125C sulfur to solid

Steam: 2000kg or more in total, preheat to 115-125C before adding (can be done with 1kg/s of water passing through a pool with a tricked tepidizer)

Liquid in the bottom pool: 800kg/tile, boiling point >= 125C, SHC at least 1, preheat to 100-105C (can wait for it to be heated up by sulfur before adding steam)

Liquid on steam turbine: 100kg/tile, boiling point >= 100C, Thermal Conductivity >= 1

Radiant Pipes and Tempshift Plates: Thermal Conductivity >= 50, melting point >= 140C

Insulated Tiles: Thermal Conductivity <= 0.1 (Mafic Rock or Ceramic) below the steam turbine, Thermal Conductivity <= 0.1 OR Specific Heat Capacity <= 0.2 for other insulated tiles

Liquid Valve setting: left 2g/s (Ceramic) or 3g/s (Mafic), right 1000g/s

Left Liquid Reservoir setting: 2/1 (Ceramic) or 3/2 (Mafic)

Battery and Auto-Sweeper: Overheat Bonus >= 30C, i.e. Overheat Temperature >= 105C

Net power production: 35W for every 1kg/s of sulfur

Nice, but don't you need to cool the sulfur down further to make it not overheat plants and critters?

updated version, put the battery to the bottom pool and have it cooled by a conduction panel

#

over time, the bottom pool should stabilize at 106-108C

Does this work in a vacuum? I found similar designs overheated my turbine after about 100 cycles

also I figured the liquid valve on the right* should be a meter valve, that is turned off when steam temperature is too low

Nice use of that idea, I will definitely be using that in some of my designs, cheers

So i've finally got around to "fixing" it, and the doohickery isn't cooling the sulfur fast enough to prevent the battery from flooding now ;-;

#

any ideas on a fix

use sweetle's sucrose to cool it
