#The game crashes when save is loaded

the log doesnt seem to have the crash
Exactly! That's the thing that makes me feel really weird.
The game will just quit without a error screen.
check the windows event log, see if it mentions running out of memory, graphics driver errors, or anything else that might clear this up. while I have not had that happen with ONI, it sometimes is where issues with other games show up in a similar "instant-gone-no-error-handling-or-logs" sort of situation.
watch task manager as you open the game

I'm curious what information you expect to gain from this?
I got 64g@6000 RAM and half of them is spare, 16g of VRAM and 5g spare.
and no error reports from the graphics driver, or anything like that?
I do get a application error:

ah, well. at least that app error tells us what is happening: something is causing a crash in the ONI native code "simulation" layer, which takes the entire app down instantly.
it is likely that whatever condition in the save file triggers the crash can only be resolved by Klei developers.
At least I get some clues about it, maybe the ONI want me to start a new save. Thank you for your help.
possibly an infinite storage with a large amount of mass in it somewhere that causes the crash
Thanks for the hint, but I guess I had to give up on that save.
@errant tulip However, I encountered a game crush just minutes ago with the Space Radiator mod. I construct a set of brass (Chemical Process by Ronivan) radiators and a pump in super coolant at 40 degrees. And then the radiators' temperature starts to change dramatically and end up crashing the game.
did you massively increase the multiplier of the radiation?
I believe everything is in default.
hmm, yes it is
does its resource usage drop way below what is expected
(response to msg below, I forgot to check the date :|)
dont necro 2 week old msgs?
