But here is the messy part: the standardised part of usb4 is pretty much equivalent to thunderbolt 3, with the exception of no PCIe support and DisplayPort alt mode iirc. After that it is up to the manufacturer, which means that USB4 is a mess. One USB4 port might have PCIe support, another may not. Another USB4 port will be limited to a speed lower than another, and the list of the messy parts goes on.

So you have USB4. If your usb4 port supports PCIe, you should be able to hook up an egpu, so technically you may be able upgrade your gpu. However egpus cost a shit ton of money on a lot of cases.
