#Radiation reactor.

rather than directly outputting power, something that turns radbolts into heat may be preferable, allowing one to use them as a heat input in a steam generator, or potentially other areas as general-purpose heat generation (if they don't have an overheat temp, they could potentially be great as a high temp heat source in various boilers)
Sounds like a research reactor
yeah, that's also something I had in mind, I think a research reactor is generally more interesting than a thing that turns radbolts into energy, but I wanted to pose a more involved process than just turn radbolt into power (since radbolt -> power could theoretically just be free power it should be more involved, I think)
thats a good thought
maybe a mix of using the heat of radbolts with a built in steam generator
i saw a mod like this but it used urainium instead of radbolts
again, I don't think an option to directly convert radbolts into power is a good idea because the only real requirement to make radbolts is power, so it's either free energy or not worth the hassle
Im trying to say that you need to give it a minimum amount of radbolts to sustain the heat and it also needs a coolant. From there it has a built in steam generator that outputs water
Why make the steam generator inbuilt at all though? One of oni's big appeals is the interconnectivity of various mechanisims & the simulatuon, and making it effectively a radbolt-fueled water heater that also outputs power feels a bit off for that I think
