#Has the Punisher special made you interested in the original Netflix series?

Should I watch the Netflix show before the special? Haven’t seen either yet
i tried to watch it, i got like 10 ish minutes its not really the type of shows I would enjoy
its not necessary but it's definitely in the better half of the Netflix shows
Because I have lol
I tried watching it years ago and it was pretty boring
And after reading so many Punisher comics it doesn’t look like an adaptation I’d be interested in
… because ive already seen the original series
-# ...maybe because I have seen it.?
Because I've already seen it... lmao
-# yup..
Cuz I watched
WRONG ONE I MEANT I ALR SEEN UT
Don't have time to complete all the Netflix series which are now canon 🙏
It's weird cause I'm watching it right now, and I'm kinda sorta board.
Also, it keeps reaffirming my belief that shit is WAY too connected
Why the fuck do I have to watch Daredevil in order to understand a Punisher show?
I know the literal reason: Because that's where frank appeared first
I mean ethically why
That's kinda what pisses me off about damn near all of Marvel's shows, including the original netflix shit
sure, it's all amazing
but like
I don't wanna watch everything
Who the fuck has time for that?
Like, atleast with the comics, if one character appears somewhere else, you don't need to know their entire history to understand them. I don't need to read Punisher's first appearance to understand Welcome Back Frank. The only time that really factors in is with tie-ins, and everyone pretty much agrees that tie-ins suck.
why would you watch this without seeing the original series
Because they didn't know there was a series...
Did you watch Cloak & Dagger before watching Runaways?
Did you watch Agents of Shield before watching the rest of the MCU?
Did you watch the Consultant before Watching Thor?
Did you watch Inhumans before Watching Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness?
i just think it did a really good job of catching me up and i’d rather watch what is to come going forward
for me it’s just too much to watch
i wish i was interested enough to see it but it wasn’t really written by the actor
and i’m more drawn to stuff that is
ive never watched either of them
I've watched already it's peak
I have too much on my tbw list already
Because ive watched it obviously
I watched in 2017 both seasons on Netflix it was the best it was the greatest watching the special reminded me of that’s the type of punisher we need to see and I cannot wait to see him this July with Spider-Man and daredevil and the mighty Hulk himself all joining forces together to take on the ultimate villains for the summer
The original show was great
Season 1 is one of my favourites of the Netflix shows.
I think I'll watch it again in future
What makes you think daredevil will be in it tho?
Ya, there is still alot of folks just starting getting into marvel or going back into it and don't know much of the ins and outs of the live action universe. Like when Shang-chi released, there was some that didn't watch iron man 1-3 and the marvel one shot where Trevor escapes prison in that short, so people didn't know what was going on
It might be easier to watch all of the marvel live action content than reading 40,000+ content of comics tho
yh i dont do either
i just watch what i wanna watch and read what i wanna read
i am not gonna care about continuity going forward with the mcu
they are trying to go back to no homework and thats great
maybe saga after the next one is when they can do another connected one but really i dont see that happening since they knocked it out the park with infinity saga
they now just need to make good movies
and good tv
👍
definetly better tv
oh we need much better tv
i would love if we're gonna have to wait 2 years or more for x men for the episodes to be longer
i'd rather wait longer and get much longer episodes
than shorter or same wait, rlly short episodes.
Depends, because some of the D+ shows are decent, but marvel hasn't honed in on them properly imo, the only major ones seems to be the born again series, WandaVision series with Agatha and VisionQuest, Hawkeye and Moonknight
And loki obviously
we need much better than decent
some of them were but most were rlly subpar and had very little effort put into the writing
or were very good with one aspect but sort of didn’t nail the rest— ms marvel for example was a great series for representation and was very consistent as a mini series but did very little at developing her character or putting her in interesting situations.
and moon knight was great at representation and character development but lacked much of a real focus
and loki s2 was good at presenting stakes and showing off marvel’s high budget with some great wes anderson inspired sets, but sort of lost focus as it went on and i think some of the story aspects weren’t the strongest.
and some of the other shows had a smaller budget so it looked a bit or a lot cheaper but were more interesting from a storytelling perspective. And some were trash.
the only show i can say i was satisfied with was wonder man. Would also say wandavision but even then i didn’t love that finale
really hoping vision quest pulls it out the bag
i enjoyed all of wonder man. I just thought the episodes were way too short
What
that was the only thing that sold me on this tbh
the portrayal of the character until this special felt very one note to me
and i just wasn’t interested in seeing more until brand new day
