All of the heroes are old and sad now which I thought was a pretty strange choice

Black Panther was cool but his entire plotline was off-panel (A Hickman Special)

The real disappointing thing is that most of the Engineer's plot happened off screen
They were built up as this big thing. And what happens to them? One panel flashback which shows the the Black Panther killed them

Yup! All the best concepts are either under baked or barely explored.

Whats with the Symbiote bonding w/ the face hugger? It doesn't matter since Venom will just show up to be used as a hype/aura moment for the final battle against the hastily set up SinisterMorph!

I was mostly reviewing it as an Alien comic (which is still a valid way to review it)
But what about as an Avengers comic? Idk there wasn't much about these versions of the characters which interested me tbh

Iron Man was pretty cool I guess

So was Hulk

Did you get tired of seeing the "superhero sacrifice so others can escape" trope repeated ad nauseum every issue?

Yes!
I'm guessing it was meant to be an homage to Aliens where near the end a bunch of the characters die (or maybe just a whole "superheroes are meant to sacrifice themselves for the greater good")
But there I felt attached to the Colonial Marines. We spent a whole movie with them
Here? I don't care about these versions of the characters! And they don't give me a reason to care about their deaths other than that some of the other heroes are a little sad about it
