It is, it really pains me bc this could've very easily been a lot better if the writer didn't insist on adding these stupid gimmicks
Could've done just one or 2 and that would've been fine, but no all characters are basically nuts

I am kinda glad that DD is open to team ups w/ Punisher at times tho (this, Superior Team up, Omega Effect, Rosenberg run, etc). If he just hated and wanted to stop him at all times thatd be a bit limiting and boring IMO.
Usually it comes w/ the caveat that Punisher is using rubber "Mercy" bullets, or they are Hand ninjas that DD doesnt care about, or something like that
Spider-Man is the same to a lesser extent these days

Oh yeah no I do like that, it just doesn't sit right with me given this is right after the previous Marvel Knights
The timing is just off, if he acknowledged this at all it could've been fine but he didn't
DD even goes as far as saying "don't kill unless you have to" and mostly as an afterthought, feels wrong

I think both of them have always been smart enough to recognize that they share enemies and goal of stopping crime, just very different methods of going about it.
I think that depth is partially why they have the best Frenemy relationship in comics. They will low key back each other up in a lot of ways. You'll see if you continue reading DD on to Brubakers run. Also in Trial of the Punisher and other examples.
They may scrap hard and argue often but they are definitely not opposed to working together.
Also i have a feeling thats where Devil Trigger is ultimately going. They already did team up in the last issue to fight some gangbangers on a train.
