I feel like it's definitely better than the first one, but the 2nd act made me skeptical. Until the ending and seeing Skeet Ulrich as Henry Emily made me intrigued (and also excited seeing the OG Ghostface duo) as he and Matthew are basically rival-turned business partners. So seeing how these 2 appear on screen together in the forthcoming movies is kinda exciting

I love the references to the FNAF 2 game though, they did it well here but the writing is just slightly meh to me

I saw a post on tt abt the easter eggs in the movie and honestly? It makes me love it better. Sure maybe the writing is bad, but i genuinely dont give a fuck because this movie wasnt made for snobby movie critics, it was made for the adults who grew up with fnaf

i liked this movie, but i also see why others dont, first: its just not really that scary for them, since the genre is horror, well, the reason this is, is because its a 12A which also means kids would be watching too. Second: the movie felt rushed, i agree with this because i can hardly remember some things in this movie. Finally: the story, the story was good for me but when i was looking through reviews, i saw people saying that the story was awfully written, barely any deaths occured.
Another point to mention is that it was meant to be for the fans by the fans, which i think is not a good idea since adults that have no idea about the game would go watch this movie with their children (if they have any) or family (if they have any, again) would then come out the theatre thinking what they had just watched.

This is my explanation on why others might not like Five Nights at Freddy's 2.

As someone who is a HUGE fan (literally since fnaf 2 or 3 released) the pacing of the games is much slower and thats kinda what fans r used to wjen it comes to fnaf content
