Nice, I wish I could read these too. I finished the Robocop: Rogue City game not too long ago
Im playing through the sequel rn, Unfinished Business, and its awesome. More like a linear action movie than the first game
Yeah I want to play that one too at some point, but I still have quite a few games in my backlog
I read this one before
I was more disappointed in it
This was made when RoboCop media was trying to tie into RoboCop 3
I forgot if you were the one who said that they didn't watch the sequels.
But basically, RoboCop 3 was the more PG-13 version of RoboCop. Which may not sound like that big of a difference, but it is a HUGE difference if you watch the original and 3 back to back.
But that is enough background!
Why was I disappointed in this?
Well, it was more in line with RoboCop 3 to me
So the aesthetic wasn't as grotesque and violent as the films. Which is quite essential to me for RoboCop. A good comic comparison would be something like The Dark Knight Returns' world
Other than that? It was an alright comic imo
Something like Dead or Alive or Frank Miller's RoboCop captured the aesthetic of the older movies better
Side note since Frank Miller's RoboCop is on your list
It was the original script for RoboCop 2. It isn't required that you watch RoboCop 2 to read it tho.
But it is a great movie!
I see what you mean it wasnt as gritty and brutal
Also ive seen the sequels but they didnt touch the original for me
Have you played the games Sky?
Nope!
Except some of the OG RoboCop vs Terminator game
It was unfair
I heard Rogue City was pretty cool
Like a prequel to RoboCop 3
In the tone of the OG movies
Reminds me of another RoboCop game which was on XBox in 2003
You simply must play. Rogue City and unfinished business are the best sequels made yet
