#Which superhero film do you think will be the most successful in 2025?

literally not even close
Captain Ohio : Brave new sigmas
superman is the most hopeful i've been for a new superhero movie in a minute
thunderbolts all the way tbh
Yeah, James Gunn is a pretty good choice for Superman. But then again, your competition in the last decade is Zack Snyder so.......... yeah
As for the actual Marvel movies, I don't know which I'd vote between Brave New World and First Steps
Superman has the most potential. James Gunn has cooked on the Guardians films so Im confident that he will deliver with this...
Because yeah, F4 has the most miss or miss run of films out of Marvel I think
nah probably x-men tbf but i get what you mean
Thunderthighs
You sure? I remember X-Men getting more triumphs, but that's because of more films compared to F4's.... 4
And all 4 of those movies not getting that good of critial reception
Thunderbolts will probably the best film( if it’s done right) but f4 will be the most popular
fr but don't forget that in the thunderbolts harisson ford will be in it
I’m really excited
Huh?
when it's the movie at cinema?
And cap will be a Flop . I’m calling it
When is it at the theaters ?
Tbh I watched the trailer and it's not good
Is that what you’re trying to say ?
cienma
Uhhh?
at the movies
Yes . That’s …. The theater . And uhhh I’d have to check
It’s scheduled for may 2 , 2025
k thx
I think f4 will be the most successful
Heyyy! This is my poll!
Neat
Guys Sentry or Superman?
I think Superman will be the second most, I think captian America will be the next most, and I think thunderbolts will be the least successful but I don’t think it will flop.

I think Superman and f4 will most likely reach 1B
Same
I think captain America has a decent chance
And thunderbolts I don’t think will reach a billion
For Superman’s sake, I hope they Barbenheimer or Moaned us.
I think the big players really are Superman and Fantastic Four. I don’t see Brave New World or Thunderbolts* cracking a billion, but am open to them at least having some success
Even I do because only real marvel fans see it , because captain america is more famous so imo he would be on top next is Superman alongside first steps
It feels weird that I’m talking in a poll that I made, when I already have my personal stance. But yeah, still interested in hearing what everyone else at least in this server thinks
Yeah, but it’s Sam Wilson’s Captain America. Not to shade his Captain America, I definitely do like him but even if it’s Captain America. I wonder how much of people will be excited for a Captain America movie without Steve Rogers? It’s also releasing in February, not in the summers or the holidays like the rest of the ones here
Its mostly either f4 or super man I'm hyped for all of these marvel movies so I'm def tryna see all of em
Also if it we’re the Captain America everyone’s familiar with. Are we sure he’d be considered bigger than Superman or the Fantastic Four?
I’m gonna see all of them, just to see how each one turns out 👍
Yeah I'm hyped
I got low expectations for thunderbolts tho
They pretty bland
Yes. I’d add on ugly too imo
Should've added some light yellow hence the name thunderbolts ig
Thunderbolts missed the opportunity to add punisher to the movie
Superman’s like the most popular superhero ever n shit
I'd still take Batman over him anyday.

same
Batman’s prob my favorite superhero in general
Batman's in my top twenty five, probably twenty one.
Anyway, I think F4 will succeed and if it doesn't, of those four I think Superman has a good chance at being genuinely good.
As much as I dislike F4.
James Gunn is directing it so its kinda a given
Agreed
Im just a bit anxious about how the f4 movie gonna be, with f4's live action attempts
Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man are the big three that’s said a lot
And i don't really like human torches actor
He doesn't seem Johnny storm ish
I'd still take Wolverine over all three, but only over Spider-Man by a hair.
saying that at this point is equivelant to saying that 60 minutes is an hour
its super obvious
I just hope they explain how F4 are set in the 60s, unless this is more retcon stuff.
superman's the biggest superhero
60 minutes is an hour
F4 being introduced this late into the MCU is crazy
especially since the MCU is terrible now
In fairness, before it would’ve been rights issues that prevented that
Same with the X-Men
I don’t have high hopes for any of the upcoming MCU movies
I only have hope for the upcoming X-Men film, but that'll be after Secret Wars, if it's not canned before then.
the first sign that Doomsday and Secret Wars will probably be mid is Marvel paying RDJ like 100 million dollars to play Doctor Doom
they do that so people will watch the movies because they themselves know the movies wont be good
F4 sweep
That’s like, not true at all?
atleast how I see it
My issue with that is you can’t really say something will suck just with pure speculation.
We do not know much about the next two avengers movies, what their stories like, and how they’ll work.
Captain America 4 is said to have bad results of screen test.
I think Thunderbolts bolts will be okay-ish as it is grounded except sentry stuff.
As a marvel fan ,i will not think of superman movie to be famous much.
And fantastic four has a good plot and better story, cast, action and whatever i want
Even then going into MCU
Fantastic four has been hyped so much, so yeah
Yelena y Bucky
Not sure I’ll enjoy captain America 4.
Thunderbolts looks pretty cool so far
Superman I think will be really fun
& F4 I am pretty excited about.
Superman is the biggest Superhero of all time
Every Superman movie has been successful, even the bad ones
People have a bad taste of the F4 due to the earlier movies, Cap 4 will be bad, though Thunderbolts could be good
It has a meh cast though
What?
What movie are you referring to?
Thunderbolts
Alright, just curious.
Four Cap rip offs
A Nat rip off
And Ghost
Alexi and Taskmaster have a bad track record
Yelana and Bucky are popular, even though they usually have bad writing
So they might attract people to the movie
Ghost is a bad choice, nobody liked Ant Man 2
Crazy. Nobody at all…nope not even a mouse 🫤
Mickey himself came down and told me he didn't like Ant Man 2
That so? Too bad Mickey is a fictional character, buddy
basically john walker carries
It's sarcasm, and I'm not your "buddy"
LOLL
Yeah
ant man 2 is like the worst mcu movie ever
only thing i liked is one certain joke
No shit, genius
I thought it was fine, but that was probably because the dude from the fallout show played a character.
I'd bet $200 on Fantastic 4
i think it will be good
The issue is that I'd actually need a way to guarantee that I'd win money if it were, plus I think that'd be against some sort of rule lol
There’s a chance it will be good. But it’s one I’m particularly not excited for

The general population simply does not care about Superman anymore
thats cap
If it were Batman it'd earn like 3x as much
I do not think that’s true
Yeah, it isn't
The people want X-Men now. Superman is too basic for most superhero enjoyers now
Superman isn't basic
Again, not true
It is, DC's strategy with Superman is fake it till you make it
People do want X-Men, but Superman is still the most popular superhero of all time
Trust
superman is not basic, i blame snyder for this viewpoint being popular
I blame people not reading comics
Superman is one of the most interesting properties DC has
The illegal immigrant thing is the only interesting part of his character.
As if the racism allegory isn't the only interesting part of the X-Mens identity
At least Superman branches out
The X-Men have been doing the same allegory (horribly, may I add) since the 70s
Movie will make like $1B. $400M coming from the hype train that is the start of the reboot
Not everyone will read comics, sad but true. If anything they’ll rather read books than comics cause they’re more “intellectual” (but that isn’t the point.)
You’re going to need to adapt the character in a movie show for people to get the character
F4 gonna do $1.5B
Trust
F4 won't do that much
Again, what’s with the assumptions
Too much “this will do bad” or “this will sweep”
The general population dislikes them more than they do Superman after the horrible movies, Superman had some good movies + he's in one of the most popular Superhero TV shows of all time
With Gunn at the helm, people trust DC more than they did before
Ok remind me to bring it up again in August next year
Those movies are pretty old. I don’t think they’ll change much of people’s POV
I mean yeah there’s fan4stic but that’s like 10 years ago

Fantastic Four, Rise of the Silver Surfer, and Fan4stic are all horrible and have left such a bad impression on people it affected comic sales
watch superman vs the elite
Plus the horrible portrayal of Reed in MoM
And the fact that their comics are only now coming back into popularity
People want Spider-Man, Batman, and the X-Men nowadays
Then compare it to Superman, who has had great movies, except for three (BvS, MoS, and Justice League) has had amazing movies, amazing comics, and amazing animated shows
He also had one of the most popular recent Live Action shows
Wow, I will admit I have not heard of that part. That is extremely unfortunate, I read some of their comics and I thought they were extremely awesome.
But why are they so hard to adapt in non comics?
And even looking at the three bad movies, people love Man of Steel
People trust Superman more than the F4
Probably because they didn't put enough thought into the writing
My b I forgot the part where he left Lois Lane in space. That one was pretty interesting
I’d like to ask one thing.
you seem like a “comic connoisseur” and I was curious if you have any recommendations for both Superman and Fantastic four?
Norths F4 run is amazing, and I've really enjoyed Tomasi's Superman run
#general message
This was also me btw so don't be surprised about my hating
I genuinely do believe that F4 will do that much better though
unfortunately f4 will do well despite it probably being crap
Oh I absolutely agree that the Superman movie will be more critically acclaimed
I know its gonna be FF or Superman, but Thunderbolts is my most hyped.
Same tbh
weather or not Disney can restrain itself from politicizing the Ad campaign for Fantastic 4 with be the determining factor of weather or not it beats the Superman movie at the box office.
Why. The trailers suck.
Bucky. Yelena. Need I say more.
That is all I need to know.
You're excited for 2nd string Black Widow? 🤨
We love and respect Yelena in this household.
Almost nothing happens in the trailers.
The closest thing we even get to seeing how the characters play off eachother is one of the posters (a still image)
It gives the impression they don't have anything of interest to show.
Trailers don't necessarily always match up to the film. There are some great movies where the trailers were kind of meh.
But honestly I would disagree about the trailer. I thought we got some good insight about the characterizations of each character and the stage they are in at the start of the film.
I'm more happy that they aren't showing everything right off the bat so I can be surprised when I get to the theater.
I'm trying to figure out where, but I remember specifically saying D&W would gross $1.3B at one point, and well...
I must admit slight error. I found the post, and what I actually said was $1.1B, but I jokingly said if they cast Taylor Swift as Dazzler the Swifties would find a way to push it to $1.3B
So that is where the error comes from
James Gunn is an amazing writer, I know he will do what the people want. But I just can't trust Marvel with making good adaptations anymore.
Sure, I'm excited for F4 but... It's not the same excitement I have for Superman, especially after what Snyder did to him
Also I didn't get to this earlier because I was just doing a little trolling as I do, and not taking the conversation too seriously. But this is very incorrect. Yes, there's the racism allegory, but the X-Men have been used as an allegory for literally just about every real-world issue. And they usually do it pretty well
My favorite was an incredibly well-done allegory for (trigger warning I guess) ||child sex trafficking||.
The racism allegory (that the X-Men as a group are) has not been done well since the Claremont era, which was over twenty years ago. There is an argument to be made that the modern interpretation of the X-Men are an allegory for LGBTQ people, but that is also done very horribly
The X-Men being an allegory for racism has only led to the X-Men being racist right back towards humans, with things like saying that mutants are superior and the better race, and creating multiple ethnostates
And one of their biggest civil rights leaders, Charles Xavier, is a horrible person who is a shitty example of what a civil rights leader should be
The X-Men in their existence have caused more genocides than they have been a part of
And also, most of the X-Men are bad people
Which is a very bad way to present a group of people who are oppressed
Correct, me and my family joke about how awful he is at leading all the time lol
And for the LGBTQ allegory
Almost every single big LGBTQ character on their team has done something horrible
Iceman has gone after a minor, Mystique has 🍇ed multiple people, Daken has also done what Mystique did, I could go on
That is very obviously a horrible way of portraying LGBTQ people
The X-Men as a group is a horrible allegory for things like oppression
I think Thunderbolts will, it's bring back a lot of important side characters
only one is actually a good character and theyll definitely ruin him
Believe it or not the thing about Crossover/ team-up movies that draws audiences in isn't the recruitment process. They already did most of that in post credit teasers anyway. It's what they're going to do TOGETHER that people are paying to see.
im acc surpirsed fantastic 4 is winning in the polls
Thunderbolts just seems more hype to me
Okay? The trailer still made me hyped for that part too.
Plus there’s still more trailers to come

I definitely see what you mean, I also agreed with like X-Men '97, but I think you're focusing too much on the bad. A lot of the storylines have them simply trying to do good while still having to face the discrimination.
Sorry I took so long to respond, I was trying to do like 5 things at once and had to focus on other things for a while
Yeah, but those storylines are few and far between when it comes to modern X-Men. I can't think of a good storyline involving them facing discrimination from the past ten years
That's why I think my focus will be set mostly from 1975 to 2005.
That's a thirty year lapse, which is a long time in comics besides being in general.
Anyway.
I think of all these movies, Superman is the only one I will watch in theaters.
If you ever need a reading order, ask me
I have one that runs from 1975 to 1990, I can easily get that extra 15 years
Do you think it's worth it, Ducki? To go into 2005?
I mean, the only reason I left the 90s was because of me owning X-Men: The End, which goes from 2004-2006.
But then I have to read Storm with T'Challa...

You don't have to, you can just not read the Black Panther comics from the time
Fair enough.
Should I just read up to Messiah Complex, you think?
It's up to you, personally I would read the Messiah Complex anyways but that's your decision
less people know about that side of marvel so im guessing thunderbolta
Idk
Superman didn’t choose his own movie, but Brave New World lol
Don't have high hopes with Superman
But I genuinely am hyped to see how they handle Red Hulk and Leader
prob fantastic four because its main villain is played by rdj
Wrong one, your thinking the next avengers movie
The villain of the f4 movie is galactus iirc
So excited Abt thunderbolts
I'm rlly hoping it's not a flop
But it is being released May
And there's like all of my favorite characters in it (u can see why I relate to antihero by Taylor Swift so much)
Especially buckyyyyyy (pls see pfp)
I dun know anything about f4 tho anyone have any films movies shoes to watch to prep for the new movie? Or have some context 😊
It’s a new version of Fantastic 4
You don’t really need to watch anything prior to understand
I'd recommend watching the old films at the least. They're not too good, but it's an easy way to gain knowledge on the team's origin. Another option is the animated series. I think it might be good.
You can watch FATWS, Black Widow, Ant-Man & The Wasp for that
Also maybe Wakanda Forever too
I didn't see anything but Ant-Man & The Wasp, honestly.
