#Which is your favourite Black Panther design?
1 messages Ā· Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Both of them. But i could only pick one so...
Tbh i like the fortnite design better then both of theses
but i like the fur and more simple design on the comic one
The Fortnite design is kinda peak
Very Peak Its mixes both of them
i mean in general i prefer fabric to nanotech
it's weird but somehow comic costumes tend to seem more tangible than mcu ones
Comics better
i like the gold design on her wakanda forever suit! it really brings the costume out and its a good contrast. gold and black look good together too, and it's as if she's honoring her brother but still having her own touch to it. i think the gold also represents her dignity and loyalty to her brother
I need to see the comic design in "motion" before I choose
I chose the one from Wakanda Forever since I like the design of her suit more, and I like the colour combinations also
havent read the comic but is black panther a girl in comics?
both are at equal votes
ill have to decide the fate
27-27
whom should i vote
comic ones are hotter so
comic
I totally agree
Thanks, love the pfp btw
I could say the same to yours š
Thanks!
Ah dw, itās my glorious purpose to say it
comics looks like a sexualised female batman, i like the unique mcu design with all the gold lines and dots
Looks better
Heās cool..
At some point, and sheās a girl in the movies too (itās Shuri, both in the MCU and in the comics)
holy shit 2 lokis
i much agree with this
Thatās what she said
Insert three Spiderman point gif
Yeahhh
I actually agree
Agreed
Yeah that's one thing I wish got changed about the comics. Like, they even heavily sexualize Magik, who's backstory is literally an allegory for child trafficking
That one really bothers me, being the character's self-proclaimed biggest fan
Agreed
They think it will attract more fans for some reason
āLetās just sexualize her for salesā
Literally tied. Wow.
I donāt like how sexualised the comic suit looks
i like the mcu suit better, with all the gold detailing and stuff
One of the few cases where the MCU feels more unique in terms of costume design
I think both are pretty cool. But the MCU once has something the comic design doesnāt. Maybe because it does look like something a King/Queen would use
I like both, but the comics one is too sexualized
What's crazy about doing that for Magik especially, other than what I already mentioned, is that she's one of the few more recently popular characters that is interesting enough to not need it at all
no character needs to be sexualized for that matter
Yeah
Agreed
It makes me most annoyed when it's Magik though
i never got the sense Magik was particularly 'sexy' either
It feels like she really doesn't care about what others say or think about her.
Contrary to what some people will claim, she has never shown any real interest in having a relationship of any kind, which I think is best for her character. So that's another reason I don't like how sexualized she is sometimes.
Ngl.
U right I do like that design better.
The fire in the arms above the gloves and the purple and gold throughout the suit just hits hard
As for the poll I prefer mcu bc itās just cooler overall, and the comic one just looks like a skintight black suit with no design at all
It looks more like a black panther
I mean⦠Shuri isnāt that type of character but there are characters who should
no I don't think any character should be sexualized. It's creepy
haha it's not like these comic book relationships ever last to begin with
What if itās an important part of their character or skillset?
not sure which comics has that. but considering most of it is written in the male gaze i'm not really comfortable with it
Male characters get sexualized too
And Iām fine with both as long as thereās they serve a purpose
thank you for saying this. itās weird and wrong.
i guess we can disagree there. But men aren't sexualized in the same way
i'm not against characters being sexy, but it's a fine line
thanks. I just generally like these characers to look more average and less objectified
iām just bored of the over sexualization of women in media, not just comics
me too
i feel like it's slowly decreasing over time
but not necessarily enough
I'm cool with it for characters like Black Cat where that's an important part of their character.
Because that's ultimately the cause of her interesting dynamic with Spider-Man
But generally I find the sexualization to be egregious. For both male and female characters, but more commonly for female characters.
I don't collect comic books, anymore. I just think, the movie design is alot cooler.
i liked mcu,it depends on ppl who vote A
the comics one is oversexualised.
the mcu one is just way better
and so is the forkknife one
im unlocking her tomorrow
I like the fur on the comics
And the gold on the mcu
yeah so do i but the fortnite one has fur but has the wakanda forever gold
so play fortnite
hhe
I meant the fur on the shoulders
i see
fortniteās are on the gloves
which is like too
i didnt vote tho cuz i like them all
and the cape
The cape #1283109737138884700 message?
yeah the cape has fur
Iām sorry but, what cape?
The third item from the left
Is the cape
It has fur
@worn zephyr hope that answers your question
This is how she looks with the cape on
Ahhh alright thanks!
even Black Cat annoys me. It comes off too much like some stereotypical male fantasy
Black cats only existence is to make Spiderman h0rny
yeah thats why comics are great
male superheroes had huge ass muscles
and female heroes were oversexualised
a superhero shouldn't be ugly
it makes them seem powerful
or godly
also its a good role model for kids
being attractive is just as achievable as being a good, heroic person
why teach kids that being unnatractive is good?
its not like the kids see superheroes and say they're sexualized
they just see them as cool asf
like bruh superheroes should NOT be ugly
No one's saying superheroes should be ugly, we're saying they are sexualized too much
whats wrong with sex
is sex appeal bad
i think as long as a character is not made only to be eye candy that being sexualized is fine
like emma frost or something
A lot of sexualized characters should not be sexualized. Like Magik. She's a symbol of child trafficking, to sexualize her as much as they do is literally just creepy.
idk
its just part of comic books
Catwoman is sometimes sexualized too. I'd be fine with Black Cat being more of a foil for Spider-Man instead of a love interest
why'd you jump straight to ugly?
that's ridiculous
i'd say she's often used that way
in the comics
Idk I like baddies in my comics
i don't really care for it
i just want normal, average people in there
a little bulked up ofc
but not execessively stylized
i care more about their personalities
Yeah true
ya like I don't necessarily like ugly art but I don't need them to ever be 'hot
anyone can get themselves to like an 8/10 with good self care
anything higher is genetics
but inspiring people to be more attractive is good i think
that doesn't mean shaming someone for not being "attractive"
all humans are attractive anyway
bro that's like the opposite of what you were saying
all these people are 'attracitve' in a very speicific, stereotypical way
im not saying ugly, i just think that why not make a superhero attractive? they're supposed to be "better" versions of humans anyway why cant they be more attractive
no one can magically look like that with just some work
they'r enot supposed to be, and you just said all humans are attractive anwyays so why would you then call people ugly
yeah and nobody can be the hulk
it doesn't make sense
but it teaches kids that being strong is important
because he's a superhero. super powers aren't realted to being powerful
they're not really there to teach kids anything
he could look 1000% smaller and just be as strong
exactly, so why cant they be oversexualized?
and if it were about teaching kids anything, the idea that violence is the solution to crime is a terrible lesson for kids
not all adults like that either
ya that's my point
are comic books supposed to be for all adults?
its fictional
they can be whatever the writer wants
and that shouldn't offend anybody
i'm not sure you're getting it
not liking doesn't equal being offended
by that logic you'r eoffended by 'ugly' people
im saying that does everyone have to like them?
no one's saying that
that's not the point
i'm saying i don't want every superhero body type to basically be the same
ya
sheās hot
but i think a historically male centered genre has trouble fairly depicting women
i'm more interested in their personalities than some rigid view of beauty
i just think that a superhero is supposed to be a "super" human why can't their looks be unrealisticly hot if they're "super"
it doesn't normalize looking like that
it just says heres a super powered woman and shes hot
super human meaning super power. looks, imo, aren't really relevant. I'm here to see people use their powers, not be models
why cant they be both?
because I don't want to see models
why not
i want to see normal, regular people with powers
because i think those standards are stupid and arbitrary
normal regular people aren't cool
they're cool if they have powers/skills
the point of comics is that they're very different
ok but not every single thing is different. by that logic i'd just read about a bunch of weirld looking aliens
also being attractive and looking more friendly makes a hero seem more like a hero
that's ridiculous. Attractiveness isn't heroism
no on'es more heroic because they conform to one designated view of 'looking better'
especially if they mostly end up looking the same
thats not what i meant
it doesnt change how heroic they are
idk bro i would prefer my superheroes to be bad asf then to be normal people
that doesn't mean i dont want superheros to be normal
but i want superheroes to feel a little out-of-thisworldly
for me, having superpowers and costumes is the out of worldliness
so their appearance doesn't matter?
what would dr strange be if he was a teenager
or looked like one
he would look weird asf
idk i love Strange as a characger but he's not my idea of 'attractive' to begin with
cool, yeah
I'm sorry WHAT
It's the Grey hair. He looks like halfway between Reed & Tony
Eh
But in universe he's supposed to be attractive
Bro got all sorts of extra dimensional baddies on his cape.
Supposed to be don't mean is

By that I mean: he maybe be intended to be attractive but that doesn't mean he is.
Tbh he looks normal to me
I mean... Peter also looks normal to me put...

The look to the readers heavily depends on the artstyle, he once had a full white hair with an eye patch and still attracted like... 3 different love interests.
well, looks aren't the only thing to matter to characters
but tbh Strange doesn't seem like the romantic type to me
and tbh the whole 'attracting a lot of women' harem-anime bs borders on Gary Stu to me, loathe as I am to use that term
He isn't, he's the hor ny type

But he's romantic to Clea, his first love and wife.
Really? Hmmm
