The movie design isn't bad at all. It's serious,looks nice,still feels like a real recognizable likable character. But the comic version is much more colourful and dynamic,doesn't need to be realistic thanks to the fact that it's just a comic,and thus allows more expression and creative design.

Comics aesthetic is supposed to be flashy enough to catch reader's eye.
But in movies, that's not the case.
A flashy costume in movies can be eye catching, but not as good as a just very little bit of realistic costumes.
Like captain america had flashy costumes in the comics that show off his musculature. But in mcu, the endgame cap and winter soldier cap costume were some of the fan favs
