#What do you consider to be the state of Visual Effects in films currently?

They're good if you let the effects team cook
i think movies and shows are just too rushed
And dont rush them
exactly
Yeah
if they’re not rushed, they’re peak
Like in mcu's spider-man movies, they're not the best
vfx have progressed so far but artists are just not given enough time
Literally 😭
Depends. I liked it on some, but not on others (Black Panther 2)
Sometimes a movie from 2012 will look better than one from 2021
Purely because the newer movie was rushed
All around I think they are okay
The Creator and Dune 2 are peak examples of good CGI (I do believe there was 1 rushed scene in Dune 2 specifically as it definitely looked unfinished but other than that).
Good CGI is definitely possible if given the time
Some are pretty good though
There are some scenes that aren’t the best with their cgi but like just think of some amazing scenes that are cgi masterpieces, it wont take long to think of some
Almost all of the movies i've seen like Expendables 4 and those new movies, the vfx can be rather out of sight. Some are delayed, the lighting can be placed out and such.
You're comparing the best of 2005 with the worst of 2023 tho
They're pretty nice most of the time. Some flaws some strongsuits. Tho my standard is rather low
I dont fact check what i steal what do you think i am
The only reason why i didn’t put “bad” is because movies like dune 2 exists
Depends on what movie.
it’s been hit or miss recently
And the misses are normally actually great ideas but with poor execution
that Doctor Strange shot is one of the worst MCU shots ever
and scenes
In the mcu it's off and on but overall vfx have become INSANELY good.
It’s been a downgrade for sure
If you look at godzilla minus 1 it had a 15 million dollar budget and the amount of detail blows other movies with hundreds of millions in budget out of the water
It's just how they utilize it. The mcu rushes it's movies which leads to poor vfx
But I seriously didn’t know it was coming out until a couple days before
The budgeting was bad, vfx was beautiful, but they need to budget
It’s a problem with the mcu, they spend too much on the promo, than they do the actual movie
Nah the vfx in homecoming are incredible
That's because it was made in Japan and they probably paid their animators peanuts
The director knew how vfx worked and also advocated for better pay for the vfx artists so I don't think that is necessarily why
They’re okay in homecoming
Not in ffh and nwh tho
The pajama suit is 100% cgi and most people couldn't even tell
Yeah the homemade suit looks good
But the other suits often dont look like fabric
if that makes sense
Even tom thought it was him
Ye
Tasm 2 had it down pat
Tasm 2 had some good cgi
The exact same I will bet £50
It depends on the movie
Depends. I think some fans exaggerate how bad it is (like they do for everything post-Endgame)
Someone sent pictures of these scenes from NWH and it was so bad I didn’t believe they were actually in the movie
what scenes
Sometimes really Good. Sometimes Shit. 💀
It's seems different every Movie or something 🤣💀
honestly its not that bad, i dont notice it until someone points it out
Where’s my boy MODOK?
IM DEADDDD
