#Should we have original variants of Kang in the MCU?

I'd prefer they be adapted
Bet the new Kang is gonna be asian
as long as theres a nice mix between comic adapted and original kangs, its fine by me
rather have only comic variants than only mcu variants tho
If they keep Kang as villain, it would be cool to see immortus or Iron Lad or something
Immortus was already teased at the end of Quantumania iirc
I don't remember that at all
I think that, hulk, and the marvels I have only seen once but that's because marvels just released
Hulk was good
i honestly believe if they introduce new version there migjtmight be confusion
huh
sure why not as long as they keep some variants
Do we even know if they're keeping Kang at all lol
He can’t just vanish from the story lol
Because he wants freedom from the quantum realm
immortus would be cool
i chose yes because i don’t think he’s a bad guy i feel like he was trying to balance out
thing in the universe
if that makes sense
it would be but it would be good, cause he evolved
exactly
Kang is 100% a villain
that’s just a variant
It would be cooler
Basically every Kang is a villain.
The only exception iirc would be Iron Lad who wouldn't really count cuz he was more Nathaniel than Kang.
i feel, i mean i guess there’s always different perspectives also
different eras and timelines that would make more sense as to why he did what he did in some ways
Nope it is explicit in comics that Kang is always a villain and this is followed in the MCU.
The only times he serves a "hero" role is excluisvely for his own gain which is NOT based in morals.
it’s always perspective
some worlds just get to not so loving
maybe that’s why he did what he did
i don’t think he likes doing what he has to do
?????????
Kang is, again, explicitly a villain because his sole desire is to conquer.
He LOVES being Kang.
conquering
He takes on Kang as more of an identity than his original human identity, Nathaniel Richards.
You should read his limited 2021 run. Some of, if not the best characterization for Kang.
LEAGUES better than his MCU slop.
mhmm
he evolved with immortus
apparently
and decided to team with the time keepers didn’t he?
Immortus is the final stage of Kang if he doesn't die first.
In comics? Not to my memory.
Very possible but that's not something I remember reading
u want to talk privately about like comics and stuff?
if you really want i guess we can
I just wanted to see what this is about Kang working with the Time Keepers
I don't want to distract from the sole subject this thread is for.
Anyways, I've always advocated for the MCU adding it's own mark on the Marvel characters and history without changing them so much they're different characters entirely (like I believe making Iron Lad the kid from Iron Man 3 makes zero fucking sense given who Iron Lad ACTUALLY is).
So my answer would be yes, original variants would, in an ideal world be great to see, but with the way the MCU is currently being written I'd be extremely wary of them doing such.
i agree
i'm generally pretty fine with having original variants
but then like
there's already so many good variants that exist in the comics
so i'd prefer that they stick to those first over creating new ones
@void wing thoughts on endgame?
Agreed
i don't know,i am new here
have you read much of Kang?
