How long do you expect Jed MacKay's Avengers to run for?

I think it's even drastic to say 1-2 years, comics series these days are way too short in my opinion

like the second part of Zdarsky's DD was only 14 issues, that's on the verge of a miniseries

Well, Aaronvengers started in 2018 and only finished in 2023

Hickman started 2013 and finished 2015

I'm really liking the book so I hope it lasts a long time

Marvel don't let books run longer than 2 years now and its been very good

Actually, MacKay's been on Moon Knight since 2021, so he's well into his third year now

I have faith!!!

Kelly Thompson and Chip Zdarsky just recently both finished legendary runs for CM and DD that lasted quite a few years each

Certainly not often, but if it's a really good book, I've got hope that it'll stick around for a while

Yeah I mean that was quite unfortunate, I'm very glad his run finally ended

Perhaps not the best example

It's just because Aaronvengers, Slott FF, Wells Spidey all sell very well despite being badly written

Unfortunately despite the outrage, that issue in Wells Spidey where Kamala died absolutely FLEW off the shelves because everybody wanted to know what would happen, and all the outrage gave it so much attention

Catch the trades or read it digitally, I promise it's so incredibly worth it

Also I think her death was really stupid because ahe just got revived like a month or two later, I say when you kill someone off, give em a year at least

That's something DC does really well in my opinion: characters dying

Tbf, Kamala was an abnormal case

Most Marvel deaths of recent have been at least a few years

Such as Xavier, Logan, and Jean

I haven’t been paying attention to what the avengers have been up to in comics or how things have been going with them for the past while tbh

So I just guessed

Give MacKay's run a read, it's really good!

It's also only about 8 or 9 issues in so far so it's not difficult to catch up
