Same goes with Agents of SHIELD.
If it’s enjoyable to you, you could consider it canon. However it only is canon in the way it references movie events and movies don’t reference series events.
Example A. The Inhumans arc in AoS. Doesn’t show up in the MCU, however if you find it enjoyable like I did it could consider it canon.

I actually like the Runaways show. It may not have the best CGI, but it stays pretty faithful to the comics and I think it has an engaging story. At least as far into it as I've watched.
