#Would you want to see a variant of Tony Stark?

Man, I miss him
I miss him alot but making him a big or lead role would ruin his death, cameo of a variant would be enough
As cameo played by the man himself rdj
Only if it’s an entirely different character played by an entirely different actor
I'm more if he's a small cameo but I don't need it
He had a great ending i think it’d be cool to see just a small cameo of him
Need to cut down on cameos in general but in a proper illuminati it’s fine
Secret wars should be as big of an event as infinity wars, if not bigger
Agreed
I already have an idea of a Next movie or TV show Morgan grows up and makes her own suit the mark 3000 and her ai is her dad Tony and she becomes iron 3000
He is one of the most iconic superheroes ever, why not?
I'm sure he'll be returning in SW, even if it isn't his sacred timeline variant
Because hes dead…
So was Loki and now he has his own two season show
So was Loki and now he has complete control of the multiverse
Tbf Loki wasn’t dead for long
Died in IW and briefly returned in EG which was just one year
In the comics, characters are constantly dead and revived
Sorry not “was”, is. Loki in Loki isn’t the same one that died
True, but it’s still the same logic. Original iron man died and @novel robin thinks that should be it, however original Loki died and got all of that
A small cameo wouldn’t be much
If a cameo, it's mostly effective to get RDJ back.
A full role would undermine tony stark's sacrifice so I think only a small role/cameo could work
the day they bring back Tony is the day I decide to stop watching MCU in general
that’s like very fucking desperate
also no not at all if it isn't RDJ
RDJ had a good arc and it ended in the best way possible. I think it's fine if he's done. I can see you guys are comparing him to Loki but I just don't think it's the same
Exactly
It would be cool that if Spider-Man is in the movie that he sees an iron man variant and like gets distracted or something
A lot of advocates for him coming back as a variant would say that bringing him back as a variant doesn’t undermine his sacrifice because he’s a completely different character.
But where I take issue with this is that even if technically he’s a different character they don’t and won’t want you to treat him like he’s a different character. They want to bank on you cheering at RDJ’s Iron Man returning and the attachment fans had to that character, so as much as you can keep saying he’s technically a different person, he sure would never be treated like a different person nor would they want you to look at him like he’s a different person
They want to bank on your attachment to this version of the character specifically. It’s the reason why if he returns in Secret Wars it’ll be RDJ and not someone else entirely because they want his name, his face, his voice, his recognizability and his attachment to the audience
As a hypothetical, I wanna ask when Secret Wars comes what do you think would’ve generated more cheer from the audience? RDJ making his return as Iron Man or someone like Robert Pattinson playing a random variant of Iron Man we know nothing about? ||And if your answer ended up being RDJ’s return, then ask yourself why that was your answer?||
I think bringing a tony varient back as anything more then a cameo would just ruin it
this ^
rebooting characters again and bringing them back after death is extremely bad even if u cn be like "not the same guy cz multiverse"
it CAN be good as we saw w/ loki
but tht's bcz before his tv series he wasn't a "main character"
and whenever he was he was the antoganist
but in tony's case he was like extremely likeable
Yeah and he still had more he could do
Tony is done
and pretty pivotal
exactly
I'm fine with another tony who is not RDJ and even if he is RDJ someone who went through way different character development than Earth-616
And if they need to bring him back to try and keep marvel alive then that’s just pathetic
loki's ending was kind of boring
like literally nobody even cried
except thor being like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
No one was there💀
And no one liked Loki anyways
nobody as in characters in the movie
exactly
didn't even get a proper memorial
would've loved tht
how did a question abt a variant of tony get to loki
Surprised we didnt see a Tony Stark variant in MoM
I heard rumours that Tim Cruise would play Superior Ironman or smth
And Ironman is in the Illumanatti in the comics
Do y’all think they’ll somehow resurrect Tony in the MCU?
Tim Cruise
Ah ok
Ik
I is right next to O

I usually swipe-type as its quicker
Downside is it can cause dumb spelling errors
i miss mcu tony 😭 i need him back fr
In the sacred timeline yes
Doesn't mean he doesn't have variants
Who the hell uses that
Nobody in the world
That’s not what they’re saying
then what are they saying
it makes perfect sense to bring him back
the multiverse saga is not confusing bro
The people that don’t want him in the movie isn’t denying the fact that there are variants. Most of it is that it’ll undermine the death of sacred timeline Tony. I personally think that a small cameo (especially if it’s with a different actor) wouldn’t do anything to undermine his death
I think a young tony stark variant would be pretty fun. I liked the variant in the Iron Man legacy comic where he was sorcerer supreme or the current ultimate variant
he shouldn't return at all
I would love seeing other variants of character with other actors
NO, I DON'T want that to happen at ALL.. cause ik marvel would that with all intent of cash grab and they'll fs compromise with his legacy so no.. never.. though it's surely going to happen
Idk, on one end, I want to say yes, just cause the character is immortal not the actor and RDJ should not be eqaul to Tony stark/iron man:
RDJ =/= Tony Stark/Iron man
Cause then it would feel like he is "typcasted" and the ONLY one actor in the whole entire world to play on the role as Tony when that is simply not true when we have so many varients of bruce waynes/Batmans, Spider-Man/Spiderverse, Superman/Clark kents, list goes on, we can still keep having stories with the character without jeopardizing RDJ's protrayal, Yes, I get it, he is iconic, but that shouldn't be, "The end all, be all". Let another upcoming actor take on the role, variant or not.
But, on another end, I don't trust Disney and they seem to have a knack of butchering leagcies for profit/cash grab
