#How long should killed heroes stay dead?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Until they have a good reason to return
I mean they should if like it’s a popular character
tony should come back
Thanos
Tony is alive
||Kamala||
Explain
yeah explain
Comic Books
Too early
We need proof
😐
Depends on what character
There's also a lot of ways to bring Tony back
How?
i doubt they will tho
- The same way they got Loki back
- Get a new Tony from the multiverse
rdjs getting old he cant act anymore 😭
That’s not good..
- Bring Tony back in an A.I
well hell retire one day innit
He was in Oppenheimer
ik
Mar vell should never be resurrected but it should be at least a year or two with big deaths
A.I Stark
.
He's 58
Tom Cruise is like 61
Age doesn't matter most of the time
not enough time to bring him back tho isnt it
No
They can have an older Tony easily
It not that they can’t bring him back it the fact that if he comes back then he death feels pointless
plus theres only gonna be like two or three more avengers films
never for the most part, but there are exception
idk they could bring him back but i just doubt
same with nat
shes not old but i think her contract ended with marvel or sm
fr
A couple months at most
Just do it like the comics, have him as an A.I in Ironheart, then have him get back to his old body or find a way to clone a body similar to how The Jackal does them in the comics and have him go through a phase where he doubts himself about being real and then go back to his prime, or just introduce Arno Stark but change his whole character in order to have an Iron Man, but that'll screw it up
I can only hope that the mcu kills and brings back Jean Grey at least 7 times
Don't
Fucking
Revive
Anyone
It makes legacy characters pointless
It makes death meaningless
10 years is long enough for the new generation to come and see them back again
death is pointless if it can just be erased
characters shouldn't be brought back within the same continuity
Agreed
im so late to this plz
I’ll fill you in some people believe characters shouldn’t be brought back from the dead because it would ruin the whole point of their death and others think they should come back in other ways
what abt captain america bro-
I mean he’s not dead just old
|| at the end of endgame ||
||I thought it just showed he was old||
yeah but I'm pretty sure they confirmed his death in ||the falcon and the winter soldier||
I looked it up they haven’t confirmed it but it would make sense
Unless it's an annoying character nobody liked... then they should stay dead
But no one wants their favorite character to be dead cause then they don't get any content of their favorite hero
I think DC pulls off resurrection very well because they actually have the Lazarus pit and lore behind it relating to ras al ghul
Agreed but I feel sometimes death can do more then continuing there franchise
Most of the times – either immediately or never
Other times 3-10 years – and the least times longer than a decade
Woah i have no idea on how to answer the question
But if we stopped resurrecting characters then writers would have to stop killing them for cheap shock value when they can’t figure out how to write a genuine emotional beat
Zeb Wells killed off Kamala Khan for no reason, they even made a comic book about her death
And now out of nowhere she returns, she makes her family forget that she even died and they know that she's a mutant or whatever
Lazy writing
Yeah I mean lazy shock death and recovery has been the MO of the X-men for the past 5 years
Tbh they shouldn’t kill off unless they stay dead
Unless it’s for
Twists and shi
No, I don’t think I will
Fax
No point to killing a character if they’ll just come back a few issues/ days/ weeks later
fr
You’re right
Like they do in the fast and furious series
Exactly 💀
Facts
its a writing pit now, no matter who you kill in a comicbooks the impact is hard to make tangible b/c lmao theyre alive again syndrome.
the worst part is now writers are doing it because its a "Buy in for the character"
One of the few characters that stayed dead in 616 was probably just Gwen
And Hobie's clone
Hobie has a clone?
New U created a clone of Hobie in 616 and I think Ben Reilly was The Jackal at the time
So they basically had their own Hobie/Prowler but unfortunately the clone died
But the original Hobie is alive and he is Hornet currently
well tbf they created a clone out of everyone
Yeah most people
I didn't like Ben ss the jackal but I get it
Dying 27 times can fuck you up
heard somewhere he's gonna return to Prowler in the Miles Run
which is great
love Hobie
I want him as prowler again
Prowler isn't certainly meant to be a villain
Just let them die and stay dead
And we only saw him as Hornet during king in black
Not sure how I really feel about him as Hornet
more like the government hating anti hero
maybe a bit hard to work with, but he'll cooperate when it comes to fighting Kingpin
Yeah
Well not that hard
He works perfectly well with Peter
And he was good as Spider-Man disregarding the fact of him having no powers
what the hell is a few more years gonna do?
Red hood came like a year or two before crisis
It would have been better to introduce him after crisis
alright fair
