#Who should the main antagonist of Secret Wars be?

Doctor Doom needs some MCU respect
Fr tho
Yes
Doom and beyonder are essential
Yeah doom is important too
Doom could make for an interesting tactical invasion rpg similar to plague inc where you invade a certain area and try to take over the world
Doom shouldn't be hes important for the 2015 version but it should be the beyonder. Save doom for later and a big F4 movie
Pretty sure f4 are getting a movie before secret wars comes out
So you'd have time to set him up
Though hopefully not in as rushed a way as kang felt
need to bring McMahon back and give him a proper movie
then make him the antagonist
def
If they reworked kang a bit he would work better for secret wars then doom, since they might not have enough time to set him up actually
dr doom
Realistically it's probably gonna be him and that's why I voted him but doom would be hella cool
Imagine Dr. Doom killing Kang and just taking over Battleworld for himself
I'd wait another 10 years for a proper secret war with a well set up doom
In the original it was the beyonder who was the main antagonist, then in the 2015 version doom was the main antagonist, but seeing how we don't have any setup for either, kang makes a but more sense
Oh yeah definitely
Doom is an amazing villain, shame we haven't seen any of him so far though
Yeah fr same
I just hope the actor they get to play Doom does him justice
They can't do Doom without setting him up first
They are setting up Kang, It should be Kang.
I mean, they’ve done crazier things. I’d not be surprised if it is Doom because he was a major powerhouse in the comics, especially God Emperor Doom.
I wouldn't be surprised either, but they would need to set him up in at least Phase 6
Yeah id expect that
I would be surprised if they just chucked him in randomly
Just bc it happens in the comics doesnt mean it's gonna happen in the MCU
You can't just establish Doom in Fantastic Four and then have him be the villain of Secret Wars despite Kang having more build-up from the near-start of the Multiverse Saga.
Should be Beyonder, obviously.
I mean, how is this even a question?
kang and beyonder are still way to powerfull for the current mcu heros imp
(Kang should have been held back for years, decades even…so much baggage there that muddies, well, everything….but anyhoo, that’s not the question, so whatev’s)
Kang and Beyonder are kinda boring
COuld always switch it up and bring back the Grandmaster (Goldblum was fantastic) as an alternative...something he would have done if hadn't already been the Beyonder originally.
I don't remember what happened with him in the end of his last MCU appearance, though.
...and, I guess, that would also be less Secret Wars'y and more...Contest of Champions.
Doctor Doom ain't Secret Wars lvl
God emperor doom on the other hand…
They're only adapting the premise. Civil War, Infinity War and now Secret Invasion aren't adaptations of the comics' plots, yet still adapt the comics' premises.
From whatever I have heard from this storyline by a YouTuber, Doctor Doom is smarted than Kang
He can be the smartest, doesn't change the fact that his ass would be beaten by only 4 heroes
"It just makes sense"
-JFK 2003
Doctor dooms is very underrated the man steals power from the Beyonder not to mention Marvel practically confirmed he is smarter then Iron man
I mean let's be fair a character is only as smart as the writers make them
And giving a character like Doom enough character development and moments to be smart to justify him being a Secret Wars arch nemesis probably takes so much screentime they're probably not willing to give
Ya, you’re probably right which has been shown in a comic where kingpin who usually has trouble with street level hero’s can now just beat doctor doom up
i suspect connections with Doctor Doom, yes!
kang the conqueror
dr doom aint underrated lmao
2 of em did it right
one does not do shit with its premise
What's the "one" you refer to?
isnt it obvious?
Beyonder is perfect for Secret Wars. MCU Needs a truly unbeatable threat to put the Multiverse in perspective.
Infinity War?
Can't wait for more Galactus.
You Cant be serious
I seriously don't know what you're referring to.
Secret shitvasion?
Nah not only the F4
Stan Lee said this once.
It's a common saying among many authors I think
Techniclly out of the three only one cant truly be killed or...heck be beaten. Though God Doom is nuts...
Depends on the Variant... The one in Quantemania is just a variant. If he was beaten by Antman and Wasp then he obviously isnt the strongest variant. He said he beat Thor in his reality but whos to say in his reality Thor wasnt just a fat slob like he was at the start of Endgame. Or that maybe he had just blindsided him killing him.
Unbeatable? Doctor doom steals and stores the Beyonder powers
Along with other cosmic beings
Technically speaking yes though he did turn Molecule Man variants to use as essentially a multiversal bomb. Which Doom was stripped of his powers by Molecule Man not long after and he was beaten by Reed Richards
I haven’t read Doctor Doom vs Molecule Man yet
Yeah
If he can’t really be beaten then that may be why they won’t have Beyonder as the antagonist due to the fact he’s overpowered unless the writer always him to get beat up
Nah they retconned him from being malevolent to more of an unstopable over powered loveable goofball who wants to understand humanity.
Plus its funny that he literally says that no force can kill him without his consent. As he literally makes his own weaknesses and strengths on a whim. So essentially in order to beat him youd have to convince him to voluntarily make himself vulnerable enough to be defeated.
You also have to remember that The Beyonder is over the Living Tribunal in power. With the Living Tribunal being literally placed by the One Above All to govern the Omniverse. That puts the Beyonder second and literally as a pier to One Above All.
