he's got an exoskeleton, he was learning to use it at the end of Civil War

it's normally built into his War Machine armour but I don't imagine why he wouldn't also have an exoskeleton separately that just hides under his trousers

what's saying that Rhodey would have agreed to hire a Skrull? We saw in the Skrull council that some of them have simply just forcefully replaced people in positions of power without anybody noticing

they could have rocked up to Rhodey's place, catch him off guard and kidnap him, then replace him with a Skrull spy pretending to be him

I heard someone say online that marvel said that the reveal would be sad and if it was rhodey they could maybe reveal that he's been kidnapped for so long and only just now learned of Tony's death

And I think that theory makes enough sense

At the 23:28 minute mark in episode 2 of Secret Invasion. There is a green exit sign right above War Machines head with a arrow pointing down directly at him. He was replaced by a Skrull sometime between the blip.

Maybe he's able to turn the lights off, or has learned how to in the 2 years since. Or maybe he's a Skrull lol.
