Yeah it was announced as Part 1
like they named it part 1 for a reason...
š no cause I didnāt see this ^
don't understand why ppl are mad when it was so obvious formt he start
skill issue

I remember a atsv trailer that said the title then said āpart 1ā
Iām pretty sure it was announced before the filmed released that it was going to be a two-parter.
Honestly I've heard about the movie like two weeks before the release, it wasn't written part 1 in the movie title so didn't knew
Dude it says part 1 in the titleš
Omg guys whatās a a cliffhanger š¤Ŗ
Pretty sure.
it used to be across part 1 & across part 2 but then they made it across & beyond
i knew it was part 1, but also I couldn't see the movie until like a week after it released, and the fact that it ended on a cliffhanger got spoiled for me
nothing else though, luckily
https://youtu.be/BbXJ3_AQE_o this shows part one
It was already known news, so
Yes obviously. I was on mh toes the last 20 mins bc I thought it was gonna end
Same but I was expecting a much more intense cliffhanger. Like something hiding in the shadows or a bigger plot being hinted(drawback of reading way too many fantasy series)
Yes. I was waiting for something to look forward to. And maybe think about.
The cliffhanger was much more fleshed out than I was expecting. It wasn't like a WOAH, I DIDNT EXPECT THAT kind. It was just a preparation thing before the main event
Im sorry but if you didnt expect it then I dont know what you thought?
Yes because they initially confirmed that story would be in 2 parts
They said part oneš¤·
Cliffhangers are good.
no no i mean it wasnt a massively out of the blue plot twist. i had braced myself for one like that
The Movie was extremely long (and because Sony is gonna be rich after making a 3rd Spiderverse Movie)
they already made 390 million from spiderverse 2 and and 377 million from spiderverse 1 adding to a 767 million (yes I did math to prove a point)
They literally said it had to be split into two parts years before it actually came out
Oh really
Yeah they said it in 2021
ngl ye it was too long to not expect a cliffhanger i knew it wouldnt go on for 4 hours mid story
Yea I expected the cliffhanger especially since when they released the very first trailer it was Across the Spider-Verse Part 1, so I knew it was gonna be part of the full story
same
Mainly because reviewers told me there was going to be one
I mean not that big of a cliffhanger but yes
"Were you expecting a cliffhanger?" Well yes, but actually no.
I remember knowing beforehand that ATSV would be a movie of 2 parts, but after the long time the movie had to finish developing, I had forgot.
That is, until I saw spoilers/videos showing that it was a movie who had a "to be continue", then I remembered it. I was completely caught off guard.
So... I suppose the answer is a "yes, I expected it"?
It was already out that it gonna end on a cliff hanger since they also hinted upon by saying "Spider-man: across the Spiderverse Part-1"
It was quite obvious
And the first half of the movie was pretty much confirming that this story will not going to be complete in this movie
yes, the spiderman movies have a thing for being cliffhung
Honestly considering i didnāt see any trailers/prepared myself beforehand the cliffhanger was surprising for me lol
Meow
dude i was so surprised with the end
the moment I saw their insta bio saying "beyond the spider verse: march 29th, 2024" I mentally prepared myself for the fac that there would be a cliffhanger but def not a cliffhanger that intense omg
I literally walked into that movie not expecting ANY of that ngl, just the fact that there would be a cliffhanger so my jaw was dropped throughout the whole movie lmfao, especially the cute little venom refrence
I was expecting one but then I forgot about it and only remembered toward the end when you could feel it gearing up towards one
I mean it was a 2 parter that was known for a while so it was obviously end in a cliff hanger
there were so many times that they couldve ended it in the last 10-15 minutes of the film, me and my friends were just waiting for it to end but it kept going
Its the first part so yeah ofc
Seems like a lot of people were aware of it being the first part
But I find it interesting how many people didn't
Not everybody keeps up with promotion from the very start
Cause people said there will be a cliffhanger so I knew
Was expecting a cliffhanger, not for the movie to just end lolll
I was expecting a cliffhanger, but it still had me at the edge of my seat
Because they did it with the last one and itās better for marketing because they will want to go see the next one
It gotta lead into part 2 somehow
Beyond the spider verse coming in 2024
LETāS GOOOO
I think that the across the spider verse was so much better than into the spider verse
True
I don't get the praise for the first film
It's fine but it's not a masterpiece
it was pretty solid tho
Agreed
love the pfp
lol thx
i think the first ome was better than the second one though
I chose yes cause it was originally a 2 part movie
Yes and I was still shocked
nah the first one is on its own and across the spiderverse is part 1 and beyond the spiderverse is gonna be part 2 (due next year), theyre supposed to be like back to back
Well I expected a cliffhanger yes but the harry potter and the deathly hallows part 1 kind of cliffhanger
an important character gets in trouble or even dies which motivates everyone else and the spot becomes the strongest threat to the multiverse but the ending in the actual movie was far better and unexpected tbh
