Looking at the announcement blog, if a team qualifies for worlds and the rosters change between Fall 2022 and Spring 2023, who would be eligible to play for that Worlds roster? Like lets say if a player graduates at end of Fall 2022, would that player still be able to play at Worlds?

In order to play at worlds, a player must be:

  1. A student at the school in the Spring Semester
  2. Be on the team’s roster in CRL Spring

If a team qualifies for Worlds in the Fall Semester (either by placing top 2 in the split or by overall league play record), the team must play in the spring split (they get an auto qualification for spring), and must retain 2/3rds their starting roster (starting roster/player as defined in the rules). The roster that plays in the spring is the one that goes to worlds.

If you graduate in the fall, unfortunately you are not eligible to compete at worlds, as you’ll no longer be a student. Your team can so long as they retain 2/3rds the starting roster.

so, even if the team goes 0-16 in spring, they get sent to worlds (im going to assume that will never happen, but just for hypotheticals and understanding)
