then the kinda flukey bit is how you reset it

you reset the ball quite awkwardly here, you were a bit too far under it so the back of your car started falling "around" the ball which tends to happen to a lot of people

but because you mashed jump your car came back around to get the touch which was enough to score i suppose

i mean, you did a fair bit of it right - it'd be a bit harder to replicate but it's good progress towards getting them consistent

once you start to understand why a ball wouldn't go in + get your muscle memory you'll be popping them much easier

watching tutorials will always help to see the minor differences, too

i wouldn't watch pros / mechy players because their car control / mechs are good to the point where they can flow the ball very easily with resets w/o much care

like i feel like in champ / low gc there's so much more oppourtunity for rigorous strategies (defensive, offensive, passing etc) and stuff relying off people not playing the game flowy at all but once you get to proper mmr or just really solid players (like in 6mans tourneys etc) you just need to rotate solid and make a break or skill diff if that makes sense

it's not that strategy isn't there you just don't think about it at all since it's all natural at that point
