thats the EXACT time where a fake works best though. if you feel like youre under pressure to do something, the opponent will see that pressure and challenge it 9/10 times because of how dangerous it is to leave the play unattended/unreacted to if that makes any sense. doing the exact opposite of what your instinct tells you to do is the thing that makes fakes work

like this. i knew my friend wasnt gonna save this after my awkward touch, so just quickly orient myself to cover the worst case scenario... worst case happened, theyre not ready for it, i score because of it. its really as simple as that

heres another example of where patience would win @hoary vector. this was a play me and my friend did. he passed it up to me on the wall and i was gonna do a ceiling shot. i didnt expect it to bounce like that, so i improvised... the defender? idk what they were doing. this was a perfectly savable shot. their positioning was very bad going back to goal and they stopped in the worst possible spot. even still after my touch it was savable if they didnt hesitate so much on the turnaround. better positioning and waiting by one of the posts facing the other post and you will save almost any shot

ok im gonna critique you only because this is my area of expertise, aside from defence... your save/block was quite good but hitting the ball with your car angled like that was very risky. you couldve killed the ball and just lost all your momentum. you wouldve gotten a reset if that happened (kept airrolling) and you migtve been able to clear it with that, but notice your boost afterwards. you had very little boost and the ball wasnt even going in, it was safe until the wall bounce. if you messed that up, they wouldve scored because you never challenged their position on the pitch. bump or demo them and youve got all the time in the world to get behind the ball and start your attack

as for the dribble, it was a very nice flick but this is gonna sound really harsh... everything else was not good. you were panicing on the ball, you cut right unnecessarily and lost your momentum when the defender was no where near ready to actually challenge your play. who are you cutting up? the air? when you come off the wall at 11s, that was good. you cut left and you could see the defender going getting their back left boost (your right), so you had time and swinging around to the left is the right play. however, instead of cutting right, you shouldve kept going forward and waited for them to challenge you. throw in a couple fake cuts, and when they do actually go, then cut or fake the cut again and they will just sail right past you.

if the defender decided to challenge you after you lost possession at 13s, that wouldve been a lost 50 on you and a free shot for them. the flick itself, while it had good power, i think you rushed and panicked still. slow down! just relax a bit and and thatll translate into much smoother control on the ball and a much more field presence/intimidation because to them, it looks like you know EXACTLY what you are doing, even if you yourself are still thinking about what to do

there you go, thats my one and only wall youre gonna get analysing your play lol

if this was my play, i wouldve done what you did up until 11s, cut left like you did, but then get back on the left side of the ball and carry it LOW to the ground but still on your car, gently turning right and keeping up maximum speed. when near the goal, just jump. theyll have to make a hero save to save it but if you angle your car in a certain way, itll be "unsavable" due to the demo/bump risk
