be more accurate than your opponent, more deliberate, think further ahead, deny space, deny boost, work with your team mate and let them push up safely with you in defence, and only do the opposite if you trust their defence. even if you are 1% better at using opportunities to score or save than your opponents, you will rank up over time

my wavedashes are just ridiculous these days, like max angle wavedashes, last possible frame to use the dodge, only barely staying on wheels cuz of how violent it is... wavedashing off the wall ramp by just jumping at the very bottom,causing the front to lift, dodge forward into a wavedash leading to faster recoveries.... or what about being able to just completely change direction instantly by doing some weird stuff with the front wheels? stuff like this beats aerial stuff any day imho cuz you have more chances to be unpredictable and force the ball to move in different directions. with aerials, its either gonna stay in the air going the same direction, or it falls lol
