#Minimum donation went up??

Yeah for gited. If you gift often, it is worth sending a mail to lichess offering to make a one time donation - then have lichess distribute the wings you wish to have gifted.
( this is to reduce the percentage that is eaten up by transactions fees)
So if you are giving out 30 wings, i would suggest you mail lichess - so you make one transaction instead of 30
I did not see that option. Where should I send the email? I still need to give out 20 wings out.
It's not written anywhere, that's why I suggested it π
I would ask and explain to [email protected] - I think we could accommodate it. This is a very new thing, so maybe we will have some option in the future.
thanks. email sent
still waiting for the email answer π
emails have some delay
okay
This has been completed. I got reply and was able to distribute the Wings at older price. I will pay at the new price on next tournaments accordingly, but I wish Lichess had UI to distribute Wings by ourselves to cut the cost and keep $1/wing and might just short the expiration time. π $2 seems too high for my chess community (we even have 20-31 cents prizes, and players still happy to come to the event). We have online micro transfer system at 20-30 cents w/o transfer fee.
In tournaments that have wings as prizes for several people
until there is an option (if added)
I recommend trying to use email
it avoids problems with banks thinking it's fraud
and maybe they might give a discount (note: I'm not saying they will)
since the main issue with all this is the fees
If it is officially written that we can do email contact to distribute the Wings, I am ok. If not I will just use minimum donation.
Oh thats perfect! so gifting 12 patron wings would cost 12β¬ then? instead of 24β¬
since i have the same problem as Chacha, organizing a tournament where 12 people would get patron, but then the minimum costs changed one day after i created the tournament
From development stand point, it is easier just to expand the UI, let users add multiple usernames for the gift, and just loop at the backend (code behind). Emailing admin to distribute the gifts will take manual process.
As far as I know, the payments area is the most complicated to handle. Anything can cause huge problems, especially when we're talking about real money.
