When I start a game, there seems to be no network and I can't make a move. All is well just before starting a game then it just timeout

No. The internet is great. I can watch other players play, I can see ping server responding but the moment I intend to start a game, it shows '?' on the ping server

Latest version, yes. 8.0.0 I can see on the about section
Using apple ios 18.4
Dont understand what is meant by old or new or beta version? I have the most recent version from the app store

Then yeah, I recommend using the beta. This is the 4th report i know about after updating iOS. Don’t know why some have issues with it, old app works on my phone on that ios. Either way, beta is the recommended way now - or mobile browser

The look and feel of the beta app is inferior to the old app. The layout feels like I'm playing on paper. I can't even see the time turn red when close to zero
