You have to checkmate the King, not the Queen

# spring mason I cannot move my queen, she is in check by rook and all blocking moves are legal...

your king is in double check from both the rook and the bishop, the bishop check is a discovery from when the rook moved away (previously the rook was blocking this check) It is unfortunate for you that you have to deal with the bishop check as well as the rook check, and you can't do this by moving your queen, because it does nothing for the bishop check, hence you are losing the queen next move because the rook attacks both queen and king with this move. your only legal move here is Ka7 and it's ggs.

this is a tactic you have to learn to look out for, try some of the learning resources suggested by Sharking State .

queen is more valuable than king

lucid ravine

yeah I think you need to go and review the basic rules of chess

spring mason

It doesn't matter how many points the King is. You're not allowed to capture him anyway

#

but yeah the trolling was funny while it lasted

what the frying pan is that nonsense? King is literally 2.2 points and losing it does not lose the game because it's just a piece

#

lichess forgot to put "King = 2"

Sacrificing a king for 2 pawns is not ok

spring mason
#

2.2 > (1 * 2)

#

I'd sacrifice my king for 3 pawns or a bishop

#

For an advantage
