Study not working properly. I click forward arrow to move ahead in the study. I hear move sounds but the board is stuck at one place. The board doesn't move at all.

im having the same problem, in multiple studies. the board stops working after move 2
when i reload, the right position is shown but the board still refuses to move
after the reload, it seems that move gen still works, and when you make a legal move, the pieces alone moves and the move is correctly recorded in the pgn. but the graphics of the moved piece will be glitched and stuck on top

No, I just stumbled upon a random study while scrolling through a lot of studies. But the problem is not limited to that single study. It's happening in multiple studies as Nagisa points out too.

seems like it happens a ton, but not always. for example, this one that got recommended to me randomly. ch.2 is bugged, but ch.3 is not
ch8 works for like 10 moves then stops working
although ch.2 is really short
so my guess is that with enough moves everything bugs out?
and im pretty sure this bug happened within 24 hours. within 12 hours maybe even

can't reproduce it. tried all the chapters in that study and around a dozen others on mobile chrome without issues.
is there anything odd you might be doing? any specific steps before it happens? or just "open study, press next move"?
and are you also on mobile chrome? which version and what device and android version?
i guess also try clearing your cache and restarting your phone.

hmm, on windows, chrome bugs out while signed in, but while not signed in and on incognito, it seems to be fine
but, signed in and on incognito bugs out. so being signed in seems to be part of the problem

when ch.2 was loaded, the error immediately occurred. but when ch.3 was loaded initially, it didnt give the error for a while, until i reach the end of the chapter, then the error occurred and it bugged out.

though i don't understand why the error doesn't break anything for me in chrome or ig when you're not logged in 
ah ok, i guess it's because of animations. if you enable animations, the error doesn't break the movement.
also explains why it doesn't happen if you log out
so ig temporary fix is to set animations at the top here https://lichess.org/account/preferences/display to anything above none

Hey so actually, I tried the temporary fix and unfortunately, I don't think it works for me. I tried all the animations options, resetting cookies, sign in and out, nothing works. I have a recording of the issue with my board if that can help

what browser are you using? make sure you're logged in, have animations enabled, and then reload the study page.

I'm using Brave. I've used it for a really long while with lichess and it's worked perfectly so far. I'm definitely logged it and have reloaded the study page every time after changing the animation type
