We've hired a full-time mobile developer (https://lichess.org/blog/Y2Z47hEAAGUB7i7A/lichess-recruits-full-time-mobile-developer) few months ago, who is now rewriting the app. The old app is barely supported (it's suggested to use the mobile browser) while the new one is still in early stage.
