#Harder Lord Missions

Its called doing Bri
Why do we need justification of making content harder but not too hard
In the end its just HP inflation which isnt any indication of difficulty
And lategame players will still have the issue unless said content is suddenly Bri level also
Bri don't drop Wingform Stardust 🤷
Outside of stat increases, the missions themselves would need to have updated mechanics to inpose any sort of challenge.
Lords were challenging for the era they were released in, everyone didn't have access to high % ratio AoEs and extra equipment slots back then.
Bruh u have achieved God mode through ur hard work
Enjoy it, we don't need to keep making old stuff harder they already do that for new content
We need to take a break from all the treadmill sometimes
Idk, i am not exactly behind the "stop making old content harder" train.
Rather, I am on the "make older content more relevant" wagon myself.
We have a pacing issue right now where we have gotten. Old content became obsolete, but we still need to run it for books and skulls, etc. Adventurer seals are found in various "obsolete" content in the form of SMs.
We need to make that content relevant.
If Lord missions, SMs, and Dungeons increase in stats thats fine. Not like it means much for most of us anyways for thunderblight, or Shattering Windmill with end game gear.
But consider, these pieces of content are becoming more obsolete. "Go run Bri" is a lazy answer from a player who is at Bri. It doesnt address the pacing issue.
Make dynamic boss fights a common things. Spider in Alby Normal? Make it have unique moves! Golem in Ciar Basic? Make it have unique moves and mechanics!
Lord missions have a fun atmosphere, some people like to challenge themselves. And you get neither the length in atmosphere during combat nor the challenge and so the content falls flat immediately as mundane and boring. And while the boss has mechanics for 2 of the Lord missions they could use a spruce up.
Why does everyone feel the need to equate difficulty to only stat increases when you can make more fun and challenging content with dynamic and mechanic game play?
And for the record "we dont need more to run on the treadmill" if you run Bri, you are not in need of Lords, or a Lord VHM. Or VHM SMs. Why sully your time on it after your experience it the first time. Its for the midgame player, not end game. Let them have fun.
U got a good point. By harder I automatically assumed stat inflation and damage sponge but it would be interested if they do relevancy and mechanics as u mentioned as a form of difficulty and not number go up
Right, and I feel like everyone in your mindset, myself included for the longest time needs a defense for it.
Nexon in the past has a history of doing "Numbers go up, makes content hard" + "Make do damage at Geata/Zombie Hall = Content Hard" and so we are all left to think this is what it means to make content difficult. So I hope you are not taking what i am saying personally(I know you are not) but it means the world to have everyone understand we have been conditioned for a long time, and we need to think about alternative ways to increase the fun in the game.
Older content needs the stat increase, so I am fine there. I think the grade system needs another comb-over and reducing the Grades to 3 or 4 maximum with Masterwork being achieved through craft only(it gives content relevence). I also think we need additional tiers of weapons introduced to the tier game. Shop Weapon Tier(remove blaanid weapons and make them appearance scrolls), add Demonic tier below celtic, make Divine tier its own tier between Celtic and Perseus.
Pace the game, if everything is fun from Alby normal to Bri Leith, then we can slow the pace down instead of rushign everyone to Bri Leith. And if they can do that, I think we'd be okay. A temporary push to get ready for UE5, when they will market harder is fine for me as well, but UE5 should let players experience this healthy pacing from character creation to end game.
My favorite phrase these days is "Make it make sense"
Lord VHM could very well be another source of Demonic Tier weapons, materials, etc. If the game is paced right, peopel should be able to hold near and dear to every weapon they make, every weapon they find, and spend time with it before inheriting it to the next weapon tier. Let it happen. Right now, the power creep is so fast I am struggling to even justify mentioning Divine Weapons, and go straight to Perseus for a new player. Whats the point in all these tiers when everyone is pushed so fast? You make your own New Rise obsolete.
And look I get it, new players withou funding will touch a Celtic, but for how long before their auto-leveled(relative to what we all experienced, but this would be within a month) EK/DD allows them access to free Demo/Perseus Gear from Shineseeker that just automatically opens the doors to upper level content where they can just narrowly sling themselves into an NB weapon? They spend no time with their gear, and I can imagine it can be a little confusing having all this geear flood their eyes and mind. They go from zero to hero a little too quick.
Again, this goes hand in hand with everything I have brought to the forefront. Because of that, the content goes obsolete and unenjoyable. And we need an answer for that.
