Can you elaborate on what "sorry you screwed yourself" experience you've run into? Really the only thing I can think of is picking one Arcana in the tutorial questline and then wishing you had picked the other instead, but even then you can eventually just level the other one manually.

P.S. I recommend the Nexon launcher. Steam is a little finicky.

And I know that's not a me issue because my friends have said the same thing.

Oh that is weird.

I'd also like to ask what you mean by "quests that skip the starter experience". Some nostalgia purists really don't like that the newer tutorial questlines kinda power level you to help catch up to the NEW early game, since over the years so much content has been added that the power gap between what people actually run nowadays and the old original content is SO massive that you'll probably become lonely and bored if you try to avoid those quests.

Hi Caligo, my name is Veli

I recommend diving into the game like it’s your adventure / story and explore around for a half a day to 2 days. Hehe, die to a bear or two and get lost for the experience

then once you get that feeling like what to do next look into what Rydall said about Blaanid which can help guide you on a path to power and story. A guild is nice as well because you can build friendships and it’ll help give you a boost to mid to end game where you can make awesome memories, gamble to debt become homeless, or become rich and powerful. There is a lot to do and many possibilities.

Oh, try to start the current events so you don’t miss out on anything, most log in attendance events have a duration the current one is ending soon

There is an open learning community called Mabi University where you are free to ask questions, connect, and get access to resources such as royal artisans or bri practices

The server is aimed to be a hub-like server to help direct you to other servers that you might be looking for as well

If you need someone to message feel free to DM anything I’m not the best but I love new players and will do my best to give you all the information I have so you can be better than me

Yes, let them suffer first wahahaha

Based on the interesting stories that people told me I think that “beginner feeling”

goes away quick when players get power and end up being part of the weekly grind

Well… there is always things to learn and do, but no rush it’s nice to enjoy the journey too

In my opinion, it’s more interesting having something unexpected happen when learning since mistakes can teach a lot

I had a beginner friend that accidentally took the boat to Iria lol and ended up walking around the desert before getting an arcana and was out there trying to survive for a week lmaoo

Oh, depending on your race there is some differences

for example, elves are naturally slightly faster than human and giants but can’t use two handed weapons unless it is soluna blade and I think soul liberator (not certain)

Giants are taller and can use a shield with two-handed weapon but can’t use bow

Humans can do pretty much most things

just some random stuff I can think of since it’ll affect what you can do or can’t

I’m on team giants but not gonna lie Elves and Humans are known to be hella good looking

#

I’m a bit biased towards Giants gonna dm you some cool looks only giants can pull off
