Greetings, apologies if this is in the wrong place or does not follow all requested guidelines.

Summary:
As of 5/11 around 8:11 PM PST, the nexon launcher no longer launches mabinogi for me. When I click "play", I am met with an error message that simply states "Error, an unknown error has occured (code: failed to fetch). When I attempt to run the repair installation tool via nexon launcher, I am met with "Installation Failed. This product cannot be installed (Code: 30003).

Difficulty: Intermediate/Advanced
Uh....I can't play mabinogi. I guess that's bad. Hands cookie.

Occurence: Always
On 5/11, I was able to play mabinogi earlier in the day. At night, when I attempted to relog, I was met with this error. It has been consistent and has happened everytime I attempt to log in since.

Details:
To my recollection, I did not do anything out of the ordinary or extraordinary the previous play session. I did not change any items of equipment, nor do any questing or content. I stood around and talked, moved. The only thing of note would be reclaiming and reposting items on the auction house. I did not touch any mabinogi files in their installation folder either.

To whomever reads this, thank you for your time.

It's possible an installation file for Nexon Launcher got corrupted during an update. Repairing Installation within the Launcher only repairs the game's installation, which is likely fine.

Try the following:
Fully shut down the PC. After the PC has rebooted, run the launcher as administrator (via rightclick).
If still not successful, perform a full uninstallation of both Mabinogi and the Nexon Launcher, and restart the PC once more before reinstalling them both.

If the issues persist even after a full reinstallation, please send in a ticket via Customer Support.

Following my post, I have done the following:

  1. shutting down PC and running launcher as administrator. Result: no change

  2. uninstalling mabi and attempting reinstall. Result: i obtain error code 30003, the same message given when I attempt the repair installation.

  3. Uninstall nexon launcher, shut down, reinstall nexon launcher, attempt to reinstall mabinogi. Result: error code 30003.

  4. installing mabinogi via steam. Result: I can enter the game.

While most people will tell me to just use steam for it, I'd rather not. I shall proceed by filing ticket as advised.

(It may be particularly problematic for users such as myself who cannot use steam.)

I too am getting this issue.

All else fails you can always try having a friend send you all of mabis files compressed through like TeamViewer. It just might take like hours to transfer depending on internet connections

So you need to disconnect your internet, use your phone hot spot and load up the launcher, load the game and then disconnect and re-connect your main internet and then it will be fixed...worked for me anyway...

Also Nexon may tell you ''just use steam to login'' Sadly anyone outside of NA can't use steam for mabinogi

Cause I heard that eero has had issues with some things like installing files or downloading or even blocking access from things

#

I'm wondering if that's the same thing here.

Leaving this from the help chat incase it helps others, but apparently this is the solution.

I shall leave this note for the bug fixing team:

Having seen the solutions that everyone else has tried, I made a few adjustments and made attempts to fix my launcher and mabinogi excecutable. In short, I am able to access the game now through the nexon launcher. My problem has been fixed. Thank you.

In detail, my router has 2 ways of connecting to it. Option 1 utilizes the 5 GHz band, while the other uses the 2.4 GHz band. This problem occured while I was utilizing the 5 GHz band. I switched to the 2.4 GHz band, and was allowed to reinstall the game. As a test, I paused the download and switched back to the 5 GHz band, attempting to reinitiate the download. The error code given at that time was code 20410. Having done this, I switched back to the 2.4 GHz and did something else for awhile while the game re-downloaded. Afterwards, I ran the repair tool within the nexon launcher. Following this, I switched once more to the 5 GHz connection, and have been on mabi.

I have since, logged in and out twice. The first re-log was to make sure I could log in after I uninstalled the steam version, and the second was because I had to restart to reapply display scaling. There thus far has not been an issue.

As someone above made mention, there was speculation concerning the use of Eero brand routers. I in fact do use one. The last time I updated it was over 4 weeks ago, perhaps more than a month, and had no issue until 3 days ago. I do not know if that information is useful to you or not. I also checked, and the firewall was not presenting an issue either.

The most I can contribute to the identity of the issue seems to be that some file or other is locking or honing in on a specific internet connection. Switching one allows me to access the repair function which repaired the initial channel. I hope this may help.
