Summary:
Small sound effects in the UI are missing. When you hit the I key to open the inventory, the "crunch" you hear when it opens no longer plays. This happens when you open a shop via talking to an NPC too.

Other very minor sounds that are missing is the small quiet "blip" that plays when you talk to an NPC, open the quest window with the Q key, the Skill window with the Z key, or when you change channels/relog.

Sound effects like walking or casting magic remain unaffected.

Difficulty:
Intermediate

Occurrence:
Sometimes

Details:
I use Windows 11 Home and launch via Steam. Verifying the integrity of the game files, relogging, restarting the client only worked sometimes. Reinstalling the game has made this issue go away at the moment, but we'll see?

Various minor sound effects no longer play after update

Update: Though repairing the files does help, it still seems to happen when I change channels, but only sometimes?

Another affected sound effect is the Ding once the bar in the cooking gauge is full. Restarting the game fixed it. (Though if I find any more I might reinstall the game to see if it erases all the issues.)

I have noticed i experienced what sounds like this myself but didn't think much of it. Once about a week ago randomly, all of my sfx and also instrument music stopped playing. It hasn't happened again since - restarting client fixed it. Not sure what caused it though but I was in doki doki at the time.

I can vouch that I've been experiencing this issue, numerous minor sound effects such as AH notifications, sound effects for acquiring an item as a reward or UE chance, among other things are silent.

I have a video of it occurring. It happened seemingly at random as I was commercing and didn't notice as I was often listening to my own music, or in a voice call at the time (not at the time of taking the video)

Observances:
My BGM suddenly got frightfully quiet despite my options not changing (its always low, but I can usually still HEAR it.)
Even maxing out the volume renders the BGM relatively quiet.
Simultaneously, several sound effects also became very quiet (such as opening inventory and skill windows) while others (such as footsteps and skills) remained audible.
Concerningly: Music started infinitely looping over itself and never stopping. Audible in the video is the Commerce Start Theme, the Commerce Battle Theme, Osna Sail's theme, Hyacinth in Lips, and Dunbarton's theme all playing simultaneously at very low volume.

I am unsure what the trigger is, but my gameplay as of the day was:
I open the window to the game after having it minimized overnight. I begin to commerce. I do not recognise anything amiss however I am listening to my own music, so I am unsure if the issue had already occured or not. I continue to commerce. I do not at any point summon any dollbags or travel by boat and I do not enter any buildings. I do summon my William Pet.
I notice pulse of purification ambiently pulses in every map however I think that's unrelated and part of a different bug. I don't think Pulse of Purification affects ambient sound nearby me.
Relogging does not fix the game. (The pulse also persists if i relog near it while I'm on the character select screen. I don't think its related. but you never know.)
I restart the client (I do not repair install or anything.)
I don't recognise the log-in music - perhaps the issue began when I opened the client yesterday and I didn't notice.
-# What is this log-in music...?
Relogging has solved the issue.

semi-related but ever since flash launcher basically got changed to just being flash (they removed the actual launching animation) they also got rid of the "boom" sound from the dual guns creating the blast wave which just makes it really awkward to use since there's literally no audio feedback for using it aside from a default hit noise

The video sounds very similar to what I experienced regarding the sfx, though restarting the client sometimes restores all sfx, sometimes only some, and sometimes none. Reinstalling the game did seem to fix the issues for now, but I'll update if anything changes.

That being said, I have had that overlap music issue sometimes as well.

Should I add a list of affected sounds to make this more clean or is what's here enough? The dungeon key collect sound also bugged out. Restarting the game fixed it.

You should definitely make a list of sorts-

Another sound effect that has gone completely missing for a while now is the sound effect used when producing at the furnace.

I feel like the whole audio bug is more related to the timing, not the audio files itself. Once the client's audio bugs out, all playing audio at that moment will either never play again, or will keep on playing over and over. So it might be a bug related to the audio controller on the client.

Following some tests, it seems that using sound background off option will prevent the bug from happening. After a hour, the audio bug didn't happen, even after spamming playing instrument. Previously, it took less than 10 minutes for the audio bug to happen. Side note, I did turn that option off, but it didn't prevent the bug from happening until a client restart. I would require people to test out that option being turned off.

yeah, I have done through another 6 hours with that option being turned off, and no audio bug so far, same for music overlapping, missing audio or such.

I happened to experienced my UI audio going super low after I rebirth and re-entered the world. It fixed itself once I restart the client. Now my game is bugging out with every random audio relooping around me such as my kart pet running boost is playing indefinitely LOL. What is happening to my client
