So a few years ago, I remember something about nexon saying that they'll make spider shot useful. I don't remember whether it will be useful because of the type of content that would be introduced or whether they will do something with house spider shot worked. I could have also been dreaming maybe?

Anyways, the scale has been outdated and useless for such a long time. It doesn't work on bosses, and it doesn't work on a lot of late game mobs. So I heard a few ideas and I'm just going to throw it out there.

  1. Let's spider shot be AOE. This way it can root multiple enemies.
  2. Let spider shot work on anything, nothing is resistant to it
  3. Let's spider shot be used on anything, and have but guaranteed crit be the next attack even if it doesn't root the enemy.
  4. Let spider shot buff every archery talent skill for the next 10 seconds, and can be used on all enemies regardless of whoever they can be rooted or not somewhat like urgent shot. Maybe guaranteed crit for the next 10 seconds?

Fully heartily agree with this.
Having Spider Shot function as a Range buff + Crowd Control would actually make the skill viable in higher levels of content.

Here's my suggestion playing off OP's ideas:

Spider Shot is a AoE skill that will root down all normal mobs for a set duration and make all incoming Range attacks (Archer, Alchemic Sharp shooter, Throwing Attack, Shuriken & Guns) deal more damage. Like a Rage Impact but for Ranged Talents/Skills.
For Bosses, they won't get rooted down, but the Range Buff will still be enabled and function the same.

It would be nice if Spider Shot didn't instantly explode when the enemy gets hit

It really is silly that they can't let Spider Shot's damage buff be applied even if they're hesitant to give the snare more use. The only time I've ever used it was to snare Cethlenn in certain Chapter 7 Roleplay Missions because he happens to not be immune and is a lot easier to handle that way.
