Nearly everything on the shop is tradable, I think it'd be amazing if we had vip tokens (wow tokens, runescape bonds) we could use for VIP or extra equip slot time.
You could go a step further and just have an NX:gold method in game that doesn't require extra steps, but some people are against it. I think tradable vip is a good middle ground.

@faint crown With how easy it is to make gold in game they would have to make vip a tun to balance it because of that (1.2m a day just to log in without doing anything )) but tradeable vip tokens is a good idea a few games have it and it wont hurt nexon's sales as a matter of fact it is shown to incase sales of "Memberships" and give acess to those who are hurting for money a way to get "Memberships"

fairly sure the difference between how KR has it ( they already have this standard it is simply our branch that doesn't )
they have it so you have to buy the full month worth all at once

you missed the part about that mabinogi was designed for there to be an item that can be traded for a 30 days worth of time
vs here where you can buy it a day at a time and save by simply only getting it when you have a use for those items
while you have to commit to an entire month through the item
also the cost isn't something that needs balanced against unless your priorities are backwards
so long as someone pays for it properly, it shouldn't matter if it is traded or not
if anything it probably would not be the subject of as big of a discounts on black friday sales to prevent people from hoarding them when so cheap

So op said "You could go a step further and just have an NX:gold method in game that doesn't require extra steps," that was what my whole comment was about if you read it i was saying nexon couldent do that UNLESSS they made it a crazy amount of gold because you can make 1.2m a day just logging on thats 30m a month just logging on and thats already higher then there 1k nx =1m nexon set in there store with the login pack so if they were going to do a drect thing like op suggested it would have to be 60m+ a month gold or no one would ever have to buy vip thats what i was saying
even then makeing 60m in one month is not hard at all

that said it was brought up but was not the proposition being made
if you don't clarify such a thing or it can lead to confusion
it sounded more like you wanted the tradable item to be more expensive
that said they have done similar before with event gold shops where they list things in event shops for exponentially more than their appropriate prices ( honestly I hate how over inflated the prices are in the event shops as I doubt anyone would even buy such things )

something I'd point out however is when KR got this event and have done similar before they provided free vip for the duration of this master plan event ( not even for a cost of gold ) when they had it #1129027950839332956 message

to be fair giving out vip now and then is a good move because it makes players relise what there missing out on also KR vip is leages and bounds better then our vip

for more added context kr also has bonuses such as equipment slots being attached to their premium/vip equivalents(Premium Combination Membership)
but do not have things like mass amounts of free passes the way we do here in NA
KR's vip is a combination of 3 split services of premium "basic", battle, life services

If Nexon sells gold directly for $$ then the exchange rate will be locked in and decided by Nexon. This is not ideal, for them or us.
The beauty of selling VIP token and letting the player sell it. is that the market will naturally decide, through supply and demand, the gold price of the VIP token.
