Nice work but I don't think using discord as DB backup node is a good idea. Also, why would someone give their DB creds to a random bot in discord.

Many people need it because most hacks cause problems in databases. The bot is verified, meaning that if it causes any issues, it could lead to legal problems for its owner.

If cheats can modify your saved data, you have bigger problems.. also that's not how it works, nobody who uses their brain will give their db creds to a random bot, even if it's "verified".. and as the other guy said, discord isn't the place for this, setup a cron job or something else

This was just an idea given to me by a member in my Discord server, and I decided to do it. If there's a better idea that will help the GTA community, I can do it and share it for free. My goal is only to learn and help 😊

Whether it's a website or a bot, the important thing is that it should be useful for the MTA community and help lighten some of the tasks

For security reasons, I really wouldn’t suggest handling this kind of data on Discord, not you, not anyone.

Based on my experience running a server, I faced serious problems with cheaters who would sabotage the database things like granting themselves admin, adding money, spawning vehicles, and so on. Those actions have become very easy to do.

So I created a private logs server used only by me and the other owner. We added log channels for the entire server (for tracking admin actions and many other events) and a dedicated channel for automatic backups of our server database. That setup helped a lot it let us restore clean copies of the database when something broke.

That’s just my experience. I don’t like when people criticize without offering better ideas. As I mentioned before, I can build any idea for a bot or website that would help server owners automate tasks and reduce their workload. It’s best when people share their feedback along with an improved idea, if they have one.

Fix your insecure scripts, that way no cheater can modify your database data.. discord is not the place for database backups, there are already tools and solutions out there for it, and it's especially not the place to handle such sensitive credentials

Database management via Discord is a dumb idea. This isn't criticism, just telling you the truth.

Yes, I thought it would be more useful and would help a lot, so I just want ideas that would be really, really good and helpful for server owners.
I want to create free bots/websites that assist server owners with difficult tasks or things that help them organize their servers.
It’s better if we can come up with things that truly improve and develop this community.
