#Small game Freeze

I've been playing for a year now and have encountered a problem where the game starts to freeze at certain moments. It doesn't look like a major frame drop, but at times it gets worse and the game literally runs at 30-40 fps at 140-200. But this used to happen very rarely, and such freeze moments lasted literally 0.5 seconds. But now, I can't get through even 2 seconds of gameplay without these freezes. I tried deleting all the workshop files, reinstalling the game, and clearing the SSD drive, but even with free space on the disk, the problem remained. My friends who had encountered this problem told me that the only thing that helped was to change the computer or wait for it to go away on its own. I don't see any problems in other games, and I don't think it's related to my video card, RAM, or CPU,

What are your specs? What settings do you use for Mordhau? Try setting everything to potato mode and seeing if it still happens. Make sure you don't have Resolution Scale set higher than it needs to be, 1.00 is fine, and you can even try running it lower than 1.00 to murder graphical quality in exchange for more frames. Check your temps when running Mordhau, I wonder if you're just running it at very high specs and making your GPU thermal throttle.

Also disable all game overlays (Nvidia, Discord, Steam, Overwolf), or pick ONE to run at a time (Steam Overlay by itself for example should be fine).

Trapsurfer was talking about the poll rate, not the sensitivity. The often default 1000hz is much more CPU intensive than 250hz or 100hz for example, and could cause issues. I used 250hz on my old computer for smoother gameplay.

#

In case you don't know, 1000hz means your mouse sensor is reporting its movement to your computer 1000 times every second, which is pretty heavy, less powerful CPUs might struggle.

Hello, I tried playing with potato settings, but I always play with low settings. My monitor's refresh rate is 60 Hz, and I play with an FPS limit of 130, without any drops. The processor doesn't heat up much when Mordhau is running. I recently removed the game overlays, but it didn't help. I tried reinstalling the game, resetting all mods, and reinstalling it on another drive, but unfortunately, the problem was not solved. Sometimes the game doesn't freeze at all, very rarely, but under certain circumstances, these freezes continue.

I tried many options, but it still doesn't stop. I even closed all possible processes through the task manager, reinstalled and uninstalled the drivers. Now the game is located on my SSD drive with 130 GB of free space. I've stopped wondering why this is happening, except for one thing: could there be problems with Unreal Engine? I've had the game crash during demoplay, but I always closed it without sending an error report. Do you think that's possible? I also think the only option left is to completely delete all possible Mordhau files, but I'll be sad to lose all my characters.

Those specs should be fine. Are you in some sort of power saving mode? Try setting power management to performance.

#

Any hint in the task manager, like how are temps and usage?

#

Have you cleaned your fans recently?

The mode is productive, the video card heats up to an average of 55-65 degrees Celsius. I replaced and cleaned the thermal paste and fans more than six months ago

also after I cleard all game files game kinda not that freeze like I saw

Glad to hear it! You can restore your mercenaries from the backed up Game.ini file to your newly created Game.ini file, each of them has a long line of text detailing the customization, be careful about formatting (back up the newly functioning Game.ini before you modify it, just in case).

#

Then once you have restored your mercs and confirm that they're available ingame and the game isn't freezing, back up THAT Game.ini file. Then go and tweak the settings to your preference.

Another problem is that the freezing starts gradually, then gets worse and worse until I reset the files.
