I've been playing on Linux through Steam/Proton since release four years ago, no issues, but I haven't tried the Epic version yet. Are you possibly in Poland, with Orange Internet? Many people are having issues with that, they block access to PlayFab: https://discord.com/channels/275436245318893568/1094721361341075576

Please see that linked thread, they block access to PlayFab, people have been calling them to fix it.
